I am happy because the birds are singing and I wonder if they are singing just for me. =)

I am happy because my guppies are playing their usual games:

The kissing game - they nuzzle each other and then dance in near liplock -

Hide and seek - round and round the stone caves they go

Bubble run - up and down the bubble wash

Circling - maneuvering to get an advantage. This is the coolest one,
their bodies bend at an angle and they flutter and display their tails and fins
in a dramatic, quivering fashion

Their names are Clatu, Veratu, Nictu, and Nemo - what a bunch of cards!!!

Lasgo

That's quite a show, and I bet you don't mind watching reruns.

When I was around 5, my best friend and I went into the home of another friend of ours when the family was gone. Our parents were all close friends. We didn't mean any harm, we just wanted to take a look around and see if we could do it without getting caught. We had no intention of taking anything.

We saw their fish and felt sorry for them all cooped up in that aquarium. We wanted to make them feel better and have a little fun. We liked carousels, so we grabbed the father's favorite hat and placed the fish inside - then we twirled them around.

We knew something was wrong when they "fell asleep." We placed them back in the aquarium, but they all floated. We had no idea they needed water to breathe. We felt SO BAD for killing our friend's fish. We felt even worse after our parents got ahold of us.

Yeah, I love my guys (I think they all are guys). And yes, it's a constant circus in there. Thanks for sharing your reflections.

I am happy today because my new service dog is eating again (after a weekend trip when all we had was unpleasant food-- I need to take it back for a refund.)

My son is still coming home for my birthday, but his orders have been changed again. He was fitted for his flak vest yesterday, will be sent to Iraq next month, and stationed on a base outside of Baghdad that receives regular mortar attacks. He's scheduled to stay there for 6 months, maybe more. I won't be able to breathe until he comes home.
