Please pray for me. The IRS sent me a letter,and wanted me to contact them immediately. I called them,and it looks like I over looked a legal term,and some money that I had in the bank two years ago. A family member said that I didn't have to file,but that was a honest mistake on their part.

Now I'm very upset,and may owe the IRS money from two years ago. I was to involved in waiting for Social Security Disability to hear me. I was down to my last money,when I received a fully favorable decision. I wasn't thinking about the IRS,as much as I should have. The situation is complicated.

Now I'm depressed,and scared about the IRS. I don't have extra money if the IRS decides to tax me. I'm on Medicaid. I'm pressed on both ends.

I had a panic attack last night at about 3 AM. I felt cold,and the fear felt like the kind I had when I was having panic attacks when I was a teenager. I realized a little while ago that I'm not thinking right.

I can't comment on the American system because it's far different to where I live, but I would think there must be allowances for those on disability pensions Steve.

Pensioners here don't pay tax and although we don't have a forum for such problems, maybe some-one could answer your queries in one of the legal type forums such as Social Security Disability. It's worth a try anyway.

I don't really know what they are doing. I didn't work that year. I have a CPA working on this. I was waiting for the Social Security Disability hearing. BF

Since it was an honest mistake, they likely won't give you a penalty, or much of one anyway. I'm glad you have a CPA to fix it for you, they should get it all figured out. Good luck!
