Update...
This AM: They did another CT this morning. The bleeding in the brain has stopped. They believe the brain will go ahead and absorb most of the blood. They were concerned about pressure on the brain, so ran a catheter in. The pressure was fine. Bad news is that she is still completely unresponsive--no voluntary movements and still needs the ventilator.
TONIGHT: Good news...Her eyes are somewhat responsive. This is such good news! Thank you all SO very much for your prayers. God IS at work! I will hopefully give you further good news soon! |
Continued prayers appreciated...
Some good and some bad news today. The good news is that the area of her brain having to do with speech/communication has not been impaired. Bad news is the next 24 hours, in particular, is very critical. Complications could be life threatening. Also bad news . . . doctors speculate she may have little or no movement on her right side which may be irreversible.
HOWEVER, medical assessments do not take into consideration the POWER of PRAYER! |
Great UPdate!
It was another good day. No complications . . . still small improvements. They can tell she understands what they are saying. Her eyes continue to look better, and she also opens them more. It is past the critical 72-hour mark with no complications. Praise the Lord! We keep praying and He keeps answering.
Thank you. |
That's such good news, Friend! Please keep us updated on her progress. I'm still praying for her.

Update good...
It has now been four days with no complications. Progress is slow, but it is all good. Her eyes continue to look better and improvement in opening her eyes. They are giving blood pressure medicine in pill form through her feeding tube now, rather than through the drip. Every four hours they try reducing sedation, but so far her blood pressure continues to go up without it.
Thank you Kitty, and ALL OF YOU, for your prayers. I thank God for having you wonderful folks here at NT to call on when in need of prayers, positive energy and thoughts. :grouphug: I truly am blessed by you. |
As slow as it seems any improvement is good.....a wonderful sign. I'm so thankful she continues to improve.

Friday Update
Her blood pressure seems to be under control. At this time, they anticipate significant impairment on the right side of her body and unable to determine speech and reasoning skills. It could be weeks before we really know anything. Thank you all for you continued prayers.

Condition Deteriorated...
After a really good day yesterday...today she has gone into a coma. Drs say if she stays on the ventilator, she will be in a vegetative state. Her daughter will have to make the decision whether to unplug it. Hope is looking pretty slim at this point.
|
Oh, no......I'm so sorry to hear this. She is still in my prayers and I hope things will improve.
|
Wow, so sorry. Close friends and family still in my prayers. May God's mercy rain down in that room and make it a Holy place filled with His Presence.
