Default Pray for me please

I used to be a dancer, a pilot, a volleyball player, and now I cannot walk...I want to walk almost as much as I need to breathe...please pray that I can get out of this chair, if only for a short slaunt...J

Brooklyn's Best,
I think the best place to start would be to learn how to be happy in that chair. Fighting against it causes more stress, more symptoms and more pain. If you can learn to quiet yourself in that chair, you can learn to control your pain. I love my life in spite of my pain and I can't walk more than a couple blocks and I can't wear shoes and socks and i have to wear leggings to keep the sensitivity down in my legs. But the fighting the time a flare puts me in the recliner with my feet above my head, makes my time longer. When I submit(and understand that my behavior the day before has something do to with my pain level now) and distract myself with reading, music, puzzles, games etc. I can recover more quickly.

I am sorry that you have to deal with this, but please don't let it make you weak minded also. You have value, whether you are sitting in that chair or up and doing all those activities. I hate taking pain meds, so I try everything I can in my tool box for pain relief. Distraction is my favorite, but not always available, especially at this time of night.

You are stronger than you think. Use this time to make your mind stronger, not bitter.

with hope for the future,
GramE

I hear you. I'm in the same place at the moment. Frustrating for sure. Prayer sent.
