Frown Continued Prayers Please

Hi y'all.

I'm sorry that I haven't responded or updated in a while. Things have really been rough here. I so appreciate the prayers, thoughts and meditations going out and up for my daughter and myself.

I would like to ask for continued prayer, update y'all and expand on the requests. First I'll update on my youngest (who was the topic of the prior thread).

She's maintaining, though still feeling so badly. She's been to the ER several times now for IV fluids. She's just been so sick. The pregnancy is maintaining and she's 15 wks. tomorrow. She's working closely with both the endo and the OB.

Last week she had to have a liver ultrasound because her liver counts were elevated. The ultrasound was fine, and the counts came back down. When the did the blood work, her thyroid counts had dropped so much that they wanted to test her again yesterday to make sure that they're not dropping too low. We've not heard from them, so no news is good news.

She saw her OB today and has lost 3 lbs since her last visit. That's awesome!!!! She's lost right around 30 lbs in three months. The last time she lost, it showed 13 lbs in 14 days, so this is really good. She has the UTI back and needs meds for that as well.

The OB changed her nausea meds to zofran so she can eat. It's VERY expensive and ins. doesn't pay much on it.

The baby's heart rate is doing well and daughter's is doing a bit better as well.

Her dr. explained that this is a very rare situation she's in at such a young age and felt so badly for her. He also said this is a very high risk pregnancy. There doing tests to check the baby for birth defects as they can and she'll be having "high risk ultrasounds" which check for several things as well. She has to have those often.

In the midst of this, my oldest and her hubby told me Friday night that they were pregnant. I was thrilled for them. I have sad news, though.

Five days (yesterday) after she found out she was pregnant, she began miscarrying. The OB is certain that she is. It will be confirmed on Friday through blood tests.

She is grieving but doing well. They plan to go right back to trying. The dr. said there's no medical reason to have caused this. I hurt for her.

Please keep both of my daughters in your prayers, thoughts and meditations as they each go through their individual crisis, heartaches and concerns. They may be grown, but they're my babies and my life.

Thank you so much,

KD

Heart

my prayers are continually lifted for them and you Kimmy

I pray comfort for your older daughter and that when her system is ready, she will conceive again and be able to carry and bear a child

And I pray for calm and rest and healing for the younger girl and that the child inside her will stay safe and strong

and for you KD....oh that you may be strengthened and equipped to help your daughters with what they are each going through and that your own health will be protected and that you will be able to sleep well

lots of prayers being sent up kimmy.

how is little man doing with all this? i'm sure he brings joy and smiles daily to everyone.

a little prayer for your daughter and her loss.

Father, You are never surprised by what happens.
But we are. We know that You love us and answer prayer, but it's hard to hold onto those truths inlight of these circumstances. Please comfort her heart with a peace that could only come from You. Help us heal together.

Amen.

Thank you for the beautiful prayer, Curious...so much.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers.

I'm meeting my oldest today for lunch, to listen and be there for her. Sometimes mom just needs to be a presence and not say much...presence says it all.

My youngest got a new nausea med yesterday...zofran...and she took the first one this a.m. She said it seems to have helped alot...not only did she not get sick but the nausea is better overall. Here's to praying that she's able to eat better.

She worried about all the meds she's taking but dr said all of them be taken outweighs the risks by far to them not be...even the nausea meds.

Love,

KD

Today's update:

Daughter's OB called this evening. It's confirmed. Her HCG levels fell from 26 to 5 in 48 hours. She's medically considered no longer pregnant.

With my youngest, her endo called today with her thyroid levels from tests taken Tues. Her levels had dropped prior from 4.05 to 2.9. That was a week ago Tues. The tests from this past Tues shows they've dropped from 2.9 to 2.3. She's doing well! She needs to keep taking the meds. If they can get her just under 1.8 that will be considered "high normal" for her Grave's Disease. So, this is promising.

Also, the baby's heart rate is lowering as her's does. It's gone from the 160's to the 140's to right around 150.

The top of the line nausea meds have done wonders. Between that and her counts dropping, her medical and physical symptoms are greatly reduced. She only had one "freak out" today and it was minor. She's not gotten sick at all, and is a calmer girl.

My big girl is grieving. The spark in her eye is gone for a while. We spent time together this afternoon and she's deeply sad but doing well. I've asked her to call me if she needs to cry and vent or to just say, "Mom, tell me a stupid story."

I love them more than life itself and both my girls are having such a hard time.

Thanks for caring and being here for me so that I can be for them.

Love,

KD

I'm so very sorry to read about your older daughter, KimmyDawn. I really feel for her.

I am pleased, however, to read that your younger daughter looks as if she's improving a little by little.

Gosh, what a time you three girls are having. My thoughts are with you.

KimmyDawn

You're such a gooooood mom!

My heart goes out to your daughter for her loss. Maybe it just wasn't the right time. The little one in her womb probably got stage fright and changed his/her mind. Or maybe the little one in your youngest's womb decided he/she needs you all more and told the other one to find another family.
