Lara

Thank you. I wouldn't have brought it here if I had been talking about any of you. I've never seen any of you over there. Then again, I'm not sure if I've seen all of you pushed past your level of tolerance either, lol.

There are still a few people left at Braintalk that remember me getting really angry and pushing someone past his level of tolerance many years ago. It turned out he was just a man in pain, but he could have been VERY dangerous.

I spoke with my friend. He's disabled and has nowhere to go. If he goes to a shelter, he'll be greeted by Christians who will want to introduce him to "Jesus." If he lives on the streets, he'll be kicked in the groin by mainstream society yelling at him to clean himself up and get a job.

I have no room in my house, but he knows he can live on my couch if necessary. He's a grown man with dreams. I don't think he wants to live on my couch.

Where would you recommend I send him for help?

Heart dear friends -

hello!
I pray for alot of peace for many people so we can find a better way to love one another, and share our joys and our sorrows together,
I love this quote -
to have friends -one must be friendly...
and as an american born in the midwest, I have a cultural mix in my genetic
code, and I am part greek, jewish, english, german, slavic, and my great great
grandma was cherokee indian, so I just love all people, because I am
part of many different cultures, and I love to listen to many ideas -
why not? that's so interesting to me.
love and peace to all your hearts -

Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant with the weak and the wrong. Sometime in your life you will have been all of these.

Red face

CTenaLouise

I'm very happy for you. Thanks for responding.

I'm at my wits end here. My husband says it's okay for him to live with us, but my husband has a bad back and high blood pressure. He already does all the housework for me. I'd feel really bad to ask him to care for my friend's personal needs too. He'd be angry with me if he knew I allowed my friend to die on the streets - so would I.

Where would YOU recommend he go?

This thread has gone way off topic from the intent of the orginal post. If another makes a post that you can't relate with, or offer support on, it's generally best to create your own thread for specific support.

Please remember also, in the future, to limit the discussion of religion/politics that lead to debating another's belief. The exception to this is this forum used for spiritual support and understanding only.

In this forum, many might seek support in many different ways based on their understanding and beliefs. Those beliefs that help people through in any given moment can be very unique. They might not be a belief/understanding shared by all. Support who you can when you can while refraining from debating with another.

I feel it best to close this thread at this time.

Thanks,

KD
