I had a friend I'd been very close with from the time we were 2. She developed cancer at the age of 24. I helped care for her and tried my best to keep her alive, but it wasn't meant to be. She died at the age of 26 - tomorrow is the anniversary of her death in 1986. It broke my heart to lose her, much like yours is breaking now. Over time, you'll see your memory of him won't be as painful. Hopefully, it will bring a smile to your face. You know that's what he'd want (to see you smile). It wasn't his choice to leave you and his family so soon. My deceased friend's brother lives down the street from me, and he has a daughter. It's been a little strange watching her grow up. She looks so much like my friend - her aunt she never met. It's nice to see my friend "live on" in her niece. Your friend will "live on" in his children. Hopefully one day soon it will bring a smile to your face to see his family - you share something special. |

Thanks for being so special to me all of you, it just makes me want to cry, and I am crying because all of the encouraging words. I am crying for his family, and for myself and I hate to cry but I miss him so much.
