Lightbulb Life means So Much

I have had this song by Chris Rice on my heart and mind all day

Quote:
Every day is a journal page
Every man holds a quill and ink
And there's plenty of room for writing in
All we do is believe and think
So will you compose a curse
Or will today bring the blessing
Fill the page with rhyming verse
Or some random sketching

Teach us to count the days
Teach us to make the days count
Lead us in better ways
That somehow our souls forgot
Life means so much
Life means so much
Life means so much

Every day is a bank account
And time is our currency
So nobody's rich, nobody's poor
We get 24 hours each
So how are you gonna spend
Will you invest, or squander
Try to get ahead
Or help someone who's under

Teach us to count the days
Teach us to make the days count
Lead us in better ways
That somehow our souls forgot
Life means so much
Life means so much
Life means so much

Has anybody ever lived who knew the value of a life
And don't you think giving is all
What proves the worth of yours and mine

Teach us to count the days
Teach us to make the days count
Lead us in better ways
That somehow our souls forgot
Life means so much

Every day is a gift you've been given
Make the most of the time every minute you're living
Made me reflect again on yesterday's Daily Bread devotional

It’s been said that each life is like a book, lived one chapter at a time. If you think your most fruitful years are behind you, remember you’re writing a new chapter now. Learn to live each day with contentment in the present.
May God help us to treasure Life and to be content

YW Idealist

Chris Rice is one of my fave composer/musicians because his lyrics are so profoundly simple and the music he accompanies them with is oh so beautiful

Music is a vital force in my life and I find God speaks through it to me in ways that have often made a tremendous impact....He sometimes seems to get through to me with music when nothing else can

That's one of the reasons I keep Z radio on for my computer, car and everywhere .... 55min of continuous uplifting music every hour....the "Listen" button is top left next to the "Home" one
