Thank you everybody.

My mother-in-law is doing better now and has been transferred back to the nursing home where she lives - (she has Alzheimer's Disease). Once stable medically, a busy hospital setting is not the place for a person with dementia so I quite expected the transfer.

Because she's been ill, her confusion has got much worse and the staff needed to sedate her. Unfortunately the sedation made her very unsteady and she has now had several nasty falls on top of everything else. We just hope and pray that she doesn't break a hip in one of her falls. Now that she's stable medically and back 'home', my husband felt he could leave her, and so came home last night.

As for my own health, I continue as before. I did see the surgeon yesterday but I still don't have a date for my surgery.... except to say that it should be in about 2 weeks time. Please keep me in your prayers.

I was just out in the garden this morning and you crossed my mind. I'm hoping that your mum-in-law is more settled this week. Also just letting you know I'm thinking of you and understand that this is a very stressful time for you right now as you wait. Keep strong.

It is possible I may be having my operation in 2 days time. My surgeon phoned today and said he would try and fit me in this week and if not.... then I will definitely be admitted next Wednesday.
