Default need prayers!

I suffered a brain injury almost six years ago. The aftermath is more then I can think I can handle with no hopes of ever getting better. I hear music/noise in my head 24/7 don't have thoughts except for negative ones. I am miserable all the time! All the time! Can't laugh or talk much was never like this before was an outgoing and happy person. Need God's help if going to continue living this way! Please pray for me!

Hi Lola,
Prayers and healing are on there way. I am sorry you are suffering. My first husband died of brain cancer when I was 28. I was a neuro/OR nurse which helped me through but it was so hard for him when he lost the ability to do things hat he use to be able to do. Family and friend support was very helpful but seeing your doctor and letting him know you are depressed is the first step in getting you on a healthy journey. Sometimes with anything that is on going our spirits go down and we need help through our doctors. Support groups are important on- line or in person and finding something that you enjoy, like writing, photography, supporting others may be things you may consider later on. Talk to someone about your sadness especially a healthcare professional you can trust. We all get depressed when we have chronic illnesses or injuries. I have been there before too. God bless you

Hi, Lola . . . I too suffer constant noises, although mine are from tinnitus. I have had it all my life, but it has gotten worse since I became ill and had to start taking a variety of medications. I believe I can identify at least 7 or 8 different "tones" or sounds that I live with constantly, even though my hearing tests are always "within normal limits." I understand how this impacts your life. And this is not the only pain I deal with . . . I live with Crohn's and transverse myelitis, both of which have left me with chronic pain and very limited treatment options.

I am curious, when you say music and noise, is it always the same, or does it change? I live with what I call "crickets," hissing, ringing, humming, a high pitched squeal, and a whining sound, as well as a soft rushing sound and one pulsing noise. I totally understand how you feel when you get really negative, because I often wish I could get away from my physical pain, which often reaches 8-10 level, and then there is the noise! No peace. Sometimes listening to music on headphones helps, and sometimes I use my Tibetian singing bowl (it is a D flat) to help me center, to just be able to stand it . . .

Yeah . . . lifting you in prayer . . . and late at night or whenever I want to scream I will try to remember to say a prayer for a fellow sufferer.
