Oh BF....you have been so devoted to your sister so long, and now the parting. I share deep caring and hope for abiding peace. Praying you are overwhelmed by love at this time.

Dearest Brokenfriend,
I read your post with great sadness.
May it bring you peace to know you were a good brother.
You obviously loved your sister very much and she was very fortunate to have a brother like you.

Here is a poem that a friend sent me when I lost someone I loved very much.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

God's Garden

God looked around His garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine".
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

So sorry to hear of your loss. The best thing a person can do is think of the wonderful things you both have had in the past. My thoughts and prayers are coming you way.

Miss Me But Let Me Go - Unknown

When I come to the end of the road
and the sun has set on me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
why cry for a soul set free.
Miss me a little--but not too long,
and not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared,
miss me--but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take,
and each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart,
go to the friends we know.
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds,
miss me--but let me go.

I find comfort in this poem.

Sorry for your loss, my sister is challenged with MS also.

Brokenfriend, I am sorry to read of your loss.

I think that grieving follows its own path and takes its own time.

Whatever feels right for you is all that matters.

With care.
