Dear Dave,
I am not surprised you were still close with your Mother in law. What a special relationship. Here is a poem that soothed me when I lost those dear to me. You and your family are all in my prayers. Love, D. " God looked around His garden And found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn’t go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home." |
Thank you, Diandra. That is a beautiful poem. The funeral is next Thursday, everyone will find it difficult.
The family are sorting out where all the posessions are going, frictions from one family member are rising already. Dave. |
We had a full Catholic Mass, then the burial this morning. My Father in Law's ashes were interred in the coffin, too, so they are reunited in every way.
Physically, mentally and emotionally a very draining day. Dave. |

Sounds like it was a tough day all around. How lovely your father-in-law's ashes were buried with your mother-in-law. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Air hugs coming across the pond, my friend. Love, Diandra :grouphug::Heart: |
Thank you, Diandra, it means a lot to me and my family.
Dave. |

God bless you Dave and your family. Times like these are so very hard on everyone. Debi |
Dear Dave,
I am so sorry for your loss. |
Dave, that sounds like a hard day but I am sure that you have the resilience to cope with it.
I think that the idea of interring ashes in a coffin is a lovely one. This is not about me but my family decided to do the same thing for my parents - we found it comforting and I hope that you will as well. |
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, this Community means the World to me.
Debi, you have made the right decision regarding Bubba's Ashes and your reuniting. I brought a bug back from the Wake. Nauseated, normal headache, sweating, temperature and constantly falling asleep. I am laying back down after this Post, taking my Ketamine early. I seem to be prone to every nasty virus going around this year, normally I am never 'buggy' ill. Dave. |
I hope you're feeling better really fast Dave.
Stress makes us so vunerable to nasty bugs. |
