Thanks Lara and Mari,

After 48 hours of fitfull sleep I feel much better. However, in the morning I am going to the Hospital with my Ex, horrible germ-ridden place:eek: Heaven knows what we will contract there.

Dave.

Oh my gosh, Dave, .... you surely did not need MORE added to your plate. Throw that bug out of you immediately. Even if it offers to pay rent, the answer is NO to taking up residency even short term.

Hope you feel better quickly. Darn those bugs.

Hospitals and funerals are favorite places for them to find unsuspecting people to victimize.

PLEASE feel better.

Hope

Thanks Hope, I just have to had escaped the Hospital, visiting my Sister-in-Law - who admitted to being the progenitor of this virus - and then avoid the coughs and sneezes at my Doctor's Surgery tomorrow, where I am getting my liver Bloods taken again:Sigh:.

Then it is home for a quiet Christmas with my Ex where we will reminisce in peace as we feel like it. Boxing Day - that is the 26th - daughter 1 returns home with grandson, bringing daughter 2, SiL, granddaughter and granddog for 2 days. More unwrapping presents and a HUGE buffet, a tradition started when MiL and FiL used to come over when the kids were small.

At this time of year you really feel those who are missing, no matter how old you are or how long they have been gone. I was closer to my in-Laws than my parents to be honest.

Dave.

Dear Dave and Everyone :)

Through the years things really do change don't they ?

My MIL and FIL are both gone but I (and my kids) remember those wonderful Christmas' at their very large, very old home with lights still hanging from cords in the ceiling. No light switches, just pull the cord beside the hanging light bulb !

Oh the fun we had.....after opening gifts with 20 plus people in their living room we would all have a gift wrapping snow ball fight......so many wonderful memories there. This tradition went on for years and years.

Everyone has slowly split apart and do things with their own families now.....making new traditions.

I sure hope those memories live on in my children so they can tell them to their own children and so on. I would love for that to happen :)

Hope you feel all well soon dear Dave.

Dave,

That sounds like a lovely Christmas. It is nice to have a balance of quiet time and joyful chaos.

I hope you are feeling better. Being sick is the pits. I don't know about you but I always feel emotionally pitiful when ill. Like you just want to be tucked in by someone who cares for you and brings tea and comics in every now and again.

On that note, I am sending air hugs...

Dave, I think you said it all in that one sentence. That is so true. Many here have lost someone dear to them this year and I am saddened that they will be without them this Christmas. My heart goes out to each of you.
