I am so saddened to hear of the multiple shootings, some fatal, in a small Amish school in Lancaster County PA

Please join me in praying for those whose loved ones have been shot, and also for the whole community now reeling in shock at this. It is always sad when these things happen, but in a community known for peace, this must be expecially devastating.

I am more shocked over this than all school shootings, these wonderful peaceful people have never infringed on anyones rights, never thought that thier girls were less important than thier boys never put thier religion on anyone else have just maintained a life of caring and helping each other. Thier beautiful daughters in thier long dresses and plain bows have become victims of a society that can't keep the guns out of the hands of madmen. We are not talking about a hip hop lifestyle, or white supremist , we are talking about a peaceful community that only asks to be left alone. My heart weeps for all the peaceful people, may your Gods give them some healing and I will ask you all, as I will to bow our heads in hope that somehow we can come together to stop all this horrible violence on our most precious beings. May peace be with you and your familys.

yes, that is so like them to pray for the family of the one who hurt them!

A friend who lives near there also just let me know that there has been an appeal by the Amish to people of all faiths to join with them in prayer...another remarkable outreach.
