Hi Dorrie! I am sorry I didn't see this sooner. I feel very sad for you. My Gram was my soul sister. That's what we always said to each other, altho I don't think Gram really knew what it meant. She had breast cancer also.
She beat it 25 yrs earlier, but it came back and a cure was not to be found. What parallels your story is, that my Gram also gave ME the family bible. How similar our relationships w/our special, loving, wonderful Grams are. She has been gone since 1990, but I think about her all the time. I smile and feel a warm heart when I do, as I have the most amazing memories. take care and I do know the pain you are feeling. She sounds just like my Gram... hugz.

Oh, Dorrie, I'm so sorry I somehow missed this. I'm on the prayer team, effective immediately.
One of my grandmas died before I was born and the other when I was ten. I look like her.

On the team as well. I never had a grandmother but I know they are special people to those who have. She sounds like a very special person in your life. Hugs to you.

I read through all these posts...........all of you are so wonderful. I sincerely appreciate each and every one of your posts and the people that you all are. I share with people all the time about our community and how wonderful all of you are. Reading through the posts I started to cry as I shared them over the telephone with my Grama. She was overwhelmed! She says that all of you sound so dear and thought that it was lovely that you sent so many well wishes and prayers. I am very grateful today that my health issues lead me to Neurotalk! You are each incredible human beings. I have friends outside of NT, however, the genuine care that each of you has extended toward me is breathtaking. I am blessed to have all of you! Thank you! God Bless each and every one of you. Love, Dorrie.

Dear dorrie,
I just came across an older post in Women's Health forum about your grandma. You said you'd posted here so came here to check. I'm wondering how your grandma is doing? Has she had the surgery? Thinking of you. |

Hi Lara! Thank you for asking about my Grama! The lump is large...larger than a golfball and they feel that it is inoperable. We are waiting for a few other tests right now. They want to have a good look through her to see if the are any secondary cancers. She had one biobsy but the are doing more as they need to discover more about the cancer before they attempt to do anything. I am praying that they can put her on some type of meds to try and shrink ie so that they can operate in the future. Da**ed cancer....this has all been so awful...but I will NOT give up hope!! Please keep praying...we do appreciate it so
