Lightbulb the Faith Perspective

songs by Mercy Me have been having a profound impact on me lately......

listening to this one again today was a good encouragement for the right perspective to faith......seeing God at work though the sunshine AND the rain in our lives.

Quote:
"Bring The Rain" by Mercy Me

I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You

Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times

So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain

I am Yours regardless of
The dark clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
By suffering Your destiny
So tell me what's a little rain

So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain

Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God Almighty
is the Lord God Almighty

I've said it before, Cheri, and I'll say it again...you have a true gift. I have no doubt whatsoever that God works through you to help other people like me. And I, for one, really need that. So thank you again, and I hope that some day I can help you too.

What a beautiful song!!! I agree with Idealist...you truly are a gift to many of us here. Ever have those days when you wake up and begin humming a song to yourself even before you get outta bed? I do that a lot, it's usually church hymns. After humming or singing the song all day (sometimes into a second day) I begin to say "Ok Lord, what is it that you're trying to tell me through the words of this song?" LOL
Absolutely beautiful how HE reaches out to us in our times of need.
