Thank you so much (((((((((( everyone )))))))))))

Please continue. He's some better today! While I was there (all morning and day until now) he appears to be loosening up some. I've kept him very still and relaxed so that probably has alot to do with it. I asked daughter just to keep him relaxed and quiet. It would seem that keeping the irritation down would aid in faster healing. I pray, anyhow.

He was more himself today as well...still very tired cause so much energy going for breathing, but more himself with faster, bigger smiles again.

I love that baby so much and couldn't wait to get my hands on him and see his face, look in his eyes and know he was OK. I was there at 6:30 this morning.

The dr said this could last a week or two and this would be day five from when it first started. Yesterday was the worst day, so I hope that was hump day and this horrible virus is on its way out.

He LOVED his mammaw being there today and looked deeply into my eyes while I sang the song to him that I made up for him and just cuddled against me all day.

Here is my precious grandboy:

David is doing much better today...he's way on the other side of this with just a small residual cough...feeling really good.

Thank you and please continue with prayers and energies.

KD

Red face When the wheezing starts...

have you thought about a major steam treatment?

This involves steaming up the bathroom in a very major way, and sitting in there for a long time (1/2 hr or more) to help the breathing.

Little plugs of mucus get stuck in the airways, and lead to this dramatic
thing. The steam really helps and will peel off all your wallpaper too (like it did ours LOL ).

Also make sure he is getting enough water to drink...as this helps too.

It is always alarming when little ones get sick.
I hope he is better, by now (sorry I missed this thread)...

Yes, the power of prayers. Your dear David and Jonathan both have my prayers going out for them. It's so difficult to see a tiny baby have to have tubes and all that stuff...but if it eases his pain and infections...my goodness it's totally worth it!! Bless you and your family at this time,

Marilyn

Sorry, KD I'm reading this a little late. My thoughts and prayers are with your Grandson, you and your family

I happen to undersatand what your Grandson is going through - I have 2 kids who when younger had the same problems. Both had PE tubes which helped lessen ear infections greatly.

Both have had Bronchiolitis and Bronchitis more than once and my daughter was diagnosed with Asthma by age 2.

Has the doctor ever mentioned or showed you how to pound on your grandsons back? It's done in hospitals quite often and easy for a parent to do at home. It will help loosen phlegm and congestion.

Also, I am a firm believer in a nebulizer for a breathing treatment rather than an inhaler. You might ask the doctor about a loner (rental) nebulizer and a pediatric mask for the medication ( Albuterol, ect.)

My heart goes out to your grandon

Kim I am late getting to read this. Just want to let you know my
prayers are with you and the family.

Nothing worse then when a child is sick. My son had problems with
the constant ear infections when he was young. I can uderstand the
worry and fear of something really going wrong.

With all the prayers coming your way a circle of love and protection
will be with the boys. There is nothing more stronger than the power of
pray.
