I am so thankful for the prayers and thoughts.

He's rounded the corner with the bronchiolitis. He is still wheezing a bit but it's mostly a looser wheeze now...no rapid breathing, etc.

He stayed the night with me night before last to give mama a break and is just the most precious baby in the world. He's learned to play peek-a-boo all by himself at barely six months! I gave him a cold washrag to chew on for his little teeth and he put it up over his eyes. I was just responding and talking to him and said, "Where's Johnathon?" thinking NO WAY can he be meaning to do this. He pulled it down and I said "peek-a-boo! there he is!" he did it again, and again, and again.

When he'd stop, all I had to say is "where's Johnathon" and he'd pull the rag up to his eyes! LOLOL. Gosh he warms my heart.

His ear infection is not too good, btw. They gave him a shot of rocephin, then omnicef. We explained that teh omnicef didn't work last time and she said it's the best for him and that they'll give a shot. Well, not he's crying with a burp, etc...signifying it's still there. He's not in constant pain until last night and had to have some tylenol.

Daughter called the dr. and he said if tylonol does not work to take him to ER. If it can hold him till Monday, bring him back there.

Why don't dr's listen to parents...even when they're young? Ugh!

David is doing great! Just a cough here and there. My little Ethan (youngest grandson at two months) is doing wonderfully as well. He's completely off the breast now and doing so much better on soy. There has been no blood and much less vomiting/spitting. He's a happy boy now.

Thank you again everyone.

Please continue to pray that this ear infection is sucessfully treated, and that he does well getting the tubes in ears.

Love and thanks,

KD

Kim, sounds like you have some fun playing with him. You two were taking care of one another. Grnadkids are the best medicine for grandparents. Nice to hear he is feeling a bit better. Given a great BIG for me. You are in my prayers.

Darlene

The little ones are in my prayers. I used to get a lot of ear infections as a child, and I still remember how it felt. Hope every thing clears up soon for them.

Thank you all so much! ((((((((((((((((((((( big hugs of appreciation ))))))))))))))))))))))

Update and request for continued prayer:

The dr's are very concerned about Johnathon. If he's not alot better by Friday, he may go in the hospital.

His ears look horrible and his wheezing was still really bad (I told her she should've heard him last week and she responded with she'd probably have put him in then and that should have happened).

They sent him home with a breathing machine to be used 3 times a day through Friday. He's also on DS Augmentin and oral steroids. She said if he's not alot better by Thurs evening he's to come back on Friday.

To me he is much better than last week. She's still just very concerned. The augmentin helped his ears alot last time and she's calling Dayton Children's herself to get him in the a good ENT there. She's not messing around. We always loved this particular dr. in the practice and won't be seeing the one we saw last time again (it's twice now that she's just really missed the mark by not listening and who suffers...the baby).

He's maintaining very well and David is doing great.

I appreciate the continued prayer for my little bugaboo.

Much love and thanks,

KD
