Thanks Dorrie,

The pain is mostly gone. The dentist said I'd probably need a root canal, will see the endontist next week but got some 800mg motrin till then. Thanks for all your prayers and everyone's help.

Hi All and thanks for your continued prayers.

The endo doc said that he couldn't find any cracks of infection on the tooth but said that a bruised ligament above it was likely the cause of irritation, seeing that the pain has dissipated.

Whew! I was not looking forward to a root canal! Anyhow, he said it may
have been a kernal of popcorn I chomped down on at the movies. It probably didn't help that a shell of a kernel was impacted in there.
