Okay! Praise the Lord, the surgery went well and less than 24 hours post op, he can move his legs a little, move his toes, and identify which toes are being touched!

For those who don't know Earl, he had a back injury on top of multiple sclerosis and has been wheelchair bound for the last 5 years. He had spinal reconstruction including a rod fusion and a protective bone cage. Mrs. Earl is very enthusiastic and reports that he is already getting back to his cantakerous self and has a good appetite.

Next stop, physical rehab to learn how to walk again!

I'm late in joining this thread but Earl has my prayers behind him, too.

I'm glad he's getting back to his "cantankerous" self! I learned with my Dad that's a sure sign of a good recovery!!

That is so wonderful. I never knew that Earl had a previous back injury - I thought the wheelchair was just from MS. I'm not much for praying Earl - but this deserves just about all I can muster. I can't imagine a better gift for a nicer person. I believe in Miracles.
