Default Prayer for toothache pain

You know that scene in Cast Away when Tom Hanks character used the skate blade to knock his tooth out - well, I'm just about there with mine .

I'm going to the dentist tomorrow but that doesn't help me now - neither has Orajel, Sensodyne toothpaste, Listerine, flossing, and/or Naproxen.

SOOOO, a big bunch of prayers would be nice.

As anchored as I am in existentialism and belief that this too shall pass, there's nothing like a mad toothache to remind you of Einstein's theory of relativity:

"A second with your hand on a burner seems like eternity; but ten minutes with a beautiful woman on your lap just never seems like time enough." -
Well, something like that -

I will be ever grateful for your prayers.

Default Necessity is the mother of invention

Thanks for the prayers all - Keep em coming.

I think they are actually working - either that or the hand warmer I duct taped to the side of my face is -

ow Lasgo I sure sympathize as I had a long period of bad toothaches till having my extractions

the one thing that always brought me immediate relief was Listerine (the old caramel colored one) when the ache got intense I would hold listerine in my mouth over the offending tooth for as long as possible and it seemed to dull the intensity of the pain.

hope the dentist can effectively help today and that you managed to get a good night's rest

Hahahaha: daisymay "Helloooooo??? *knocking on monitor*"

I wasn't able to go to the dentist today (had to finish a paper due tomorrow in class). Good thing though!!! Doing the listerine thing suggested on this thread and actually duct taping a hand warmer to my face helped. So, after class tomorrow morning I will see the dentist but THANK YOU ALL for your prayers and suggestions - THEY ARE HELPING!!!

Mostly though the warmth of this community and often hilarity. I think of the thought of those who laughed at my duct taping the hand warmer to my face and I just laugh. I'm laughing now thinking about it and those neurohumors have to do something to help mitigate the pain.

So now I'm an existential, cognitive, humorist

Thanks for helping me to make this evolution
