Update...I am back home after a very stressful week. Mom seems to be on an upswing. We met with her doc on Monday and then with the Hospice care people on Tuesday. Very nice lady. She explained everything to my mom, sis, brick of a brother, and me. Mom seemed very relaxed and comfortable with their services and understood that they were there to help her and make her comfortable for the remaining time she has left.
Brick of a brother doesn't get it...never will. He doesn't seem to understand what Hospice does. We gave up trying to explain it to him. It isn't his decision anyway. It's Mom's. So, now the rest is up to God. Thanks everyone...you've all been great. Keep it up. My sister and I know what to expect...but it doesn't make it any easier. Right now, the focus is on Mom. Not the brick.
