Default Begin with Peace Within

Begin with peace within,
The bigger scheme of things are like the wind.
But what matters most is the calm inside,
From which the storms outside subside.

To be the calm within the storm,
There must reside a love not torn -
By every whim or chance or strife,
But settled on eternal life.

A very good message, Lasgo. I just wish it was as easy to achieve as it is to talk about it. I've known peace. I've known sublime peace and love. But it's a thing which is hard to hold on to. I hope you manage to keep peace in your own heart most of the time.

Thanks Idealist,

Without Christ, the resurrection hope and promise, I do not think it would
be possible. My anchor, through Christ, is to a world beyond this one. Yes,
we are in the world and it is tough, very tough at times. But Christ's promise -
that of eternal life, a new Heaven, a new and glorious Earth, new Heavenly
bodies and peace, without tears, sin, death - these promises keep me buoyed
amidst any storm here.

It is not easy but, through faith, persevering in Christ, because he first
loved me and showed the way to true peace - knowing and trusting in him -
has made the difference in my life.
