Default Andrea Bocelli/Heather

I play this on days when I feel alone, isolated and drained of the ability to keep on keepin' on. It renews me. I put the lyrics after the song. I love Andrea Bocelli, his voice touches me in my soul, and paired with the angelic Heather Headley is a special joining of voices.
I hope you are as renewed and lifted as I have been.
(sorry for ad prior to the song...small price to pay. )

"The Prayer"

I pray you'll be our eyes,
and watch us where we go
And help us to be wise,
in times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer,
when we lose our way
Lead us to a place,
guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe.
La luce che tu hai
I pray we'll find your light
Nel cuore resterà
And hold it in our hearts
A ricordarci che
When stars go out each night
L'eterna stella sei
Nella mia preghiera
Let this be our prayer
Quanta fede c'è
When shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace

Give us faith so we'll be safe
Sogniamo un mondo senza più violenza
Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza
Ognuno dia la mano al suo vicino
Simbolo di pace, di fraternità

La forza che ci dà
We ask that life be kind
È il desiderio che
And watch us from above
Ognuno trovi amor
We hope each soul will find
Intorno e dentro a sé
Another soul to love
Let this be our prayer
Let this be our prayer
Just like every child
Just like every child

Need to find a place,
guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
È la fede che
Hai acceso in noi
Sento che ci salverà.

My Mood: Songs that Inspire and Encourage us........
Cool Smirk Bach/ Vaugh Williams

This one may come as a surprise to some judging by my taste in music, but this is 'Dona Nobis Pacem' - 'Grant Thou to Us Thy Peace'

Dona Nobis Pacem (Round - Rise Up Singing): https://youtu.be/69VG0YuZTHU

I chose this version over huge Choral arrangements because the four youngsters are about the same age as I was when I used to sing this very song. We also used to sing the Welsh version 'Dyro Inni Heddwch', which I cannot find performed. If anyone more adept on the YouTubes than me can dig it up I would love to hear it.

Dave.

Correction. As I cannot trust my memory I went to a respected University site for the composer. Turns out they are WRONG - it was Mozart. I'm sure the two men in question will not mind being confused - they were both great and can complain to me in person if there are any problems
