I was asked a question yesterday that I'm not totally sure of.
A friend, inquiring as to how my son's doing with his cancer survivorship, asked me "is he in remission?". I'm not totally sure how to answer the question, so I got into conversation with another cancer survivor later tonite and she just kinda chuckled and said that it's sorta a "slang word" as a person is never considered to be "100% guaranteed of never getting the cancer again". Some say it's whenever the bloodwork becomes into the normal range, others say it's after one yr, others say it's after 5 yrs. Anyways, my son's doing fine...other than an allergy problem right now cause of all this spring pollen. Marilyn
