Lightbulb healing plants -food and oils from the Bible

Healing Oil of the Week: Hyssop

Psalm 51:7 tells us, "Purify me with hyssop and I shall be clean."
Traditionally used to cleanse sacred places, hyssop was also used in purification rituals and to drive away spirits.
Modern science has shown that hyssop oil can be used to relieve anxiety, arthritis, asthma, respiratory infections, parasites, fungal infections, and cold and flu symptoms. This fresh-smelling oil also metabolizes fat, increases perspiration, and can help the body detoxify.

Jordan Ruben
Jordan's Tip of the Day
From the author of The Maker's Diet

Hyssop on the Table
Hyssop is edible and used in teas or as a flavoring in savory dishes. Its blue flowers also make an attractive garnish in a salad, but don't add too much. Hyssop can have a bitter taste that's best only in small doses.

Heart Thans so much...

for this information! I've enjoyed it very much!

I am a fan of Jordan's ideas, myself! I often utilize many of the principles put forth in his book, etc. (And I, too, encourage evryone to carefully research dietary/supplement changes/modifications.)

Thanks again!

How to Get Sick:
A Modern Prescription for Illness

How to Get Sick: Focus on Aerobics

While regular exercise is important for your health, keep in mind that high-intensity aerobic exercise, especially when it seriously elevates your heart rate for long periods of time, is essentially unnatural for your body.
Throughout history, human beings in virtually every culture engaged in the functional, moderate-paced exercise that was necessary on the farm, at sea, or while hunting wild game. Long-distance walking or slower-paced labor functions may have been punctuated by intense but relatively brief bursts of physical labor or high-speed movement.
Intense aerobic exercise, like jogging or running on hard surfaces, may lower the immune response and create more oxidation through stress than anaerobic exercise (strength training). Consider marathon runners, who often struggle with decreased resistance to viruses and bacterial infections during their peak training seasons. They also battle chronic ligament and joint problems and long-term degeneration of organs and tissues.
When it comes to choosing the best exercise for your health, stick to moderate-paced activity with the occasional short burst of higher-intensity movement. What worked for your ancestors can work for you.

Jordan's tip of the day:
Choose the Shoes
Looking for that perfect pair of walking shoes? Choose a pair that is lightweight and made from breathable fabric, and always test for flexibility. You should be able to twist and move all the way through the toe of the shoe.

Salt and Light Matthew 5:13-16

"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how will it be made salty again? It is good for nothing anymore, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp, and put it under the peck-measure, but on the lampstand; and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 5:13-16 NASB)

This is by far the purest salt available on earth and is absolutely uncontaminated with any toxins or pollutants.

Once I learned about it and how beneficial it can be for you, my team and I literally spent nearly the last two years working on having it brought over to the U.S. from Nepal.

I thought I would be able to provide this salt last year but to say obtaining this salt is difficult would be an enormous understatement. You see, the suppliers of this salt have no standard infrastructure available and we have to work through people that have no idea of how normal business operates.

The shipment had to go through a number of different countries before we were finally able to import it into the US so you can use it.

Quite truthfully, all the bugs are not worked out in the supply system, and we may sell out of this salt very quickly because of all its incredible benefits -- that's why, if you are interested I encourage you to place your order as soon as possible! If we do sell out this supply early, if our past experience is any predictor of the future it may be 6 months to a year before we are able to have more to sell to you. I have never in my life seen a product that has been this challenging to obtain.

This salt from the Himalayas is known as "white gold." Together with pure spring water, Himalayan Crystal Salt offers all the natural elements exactly identical to the elements in your body -- the very same elements originally found existing in the "primal sea."

Containing all of the 84 elements found in your body, the benefits of natural Himalayan Crystal Salt include:

Regulating the water content throughout your body.
Promoting a healthy pH balance in your cells, particularly your brain cells.
Promoting blood sugar health and helping to reduce the signs of aging.
Assisting in the generation of hydroelectric energy in cells in your body.
Absorption of food particles through your intestinal tract.
Supporting respiratory health.
Promoting sinus health.
Prevention of muscle cramps.
Promoting bone strength.
Regulating your sleep -- it naturally promotes sleep.
Supporting your libido.
Promoting vascular health.
In conjunction with water it is actually essential for the regulation of your blood pressure.
The Typical Table And Cooking Salt In Your Grocery Store Has Been "Chemically Cleaned"

What remains after typical salt is "chemically cleaned" is sodium chloride -- an unnatural chemical form of salt that your body recognizes as something completely foreign. This form of salt is in almost every preserved product that you eat. Therefore, when you add more salt to your already salted food, your body receives more salt than it can dispose of.

This is important as over 90% of the money that people spend on food is for processed food.

Typical table salt crystals are totally isolated from each other. In order for your body to try to metabolize table salt crystals, it must sacrifice tremendous amounts of energy.

Inorganic sodium chloride can keep you from an ideal fluid balance and can overburden your elimination systems.

When your body tries to isolate the excess salt you typically expose it to, water molecules must surround the sodium chloride to break them up into sodium and chloride ions in order to help your body neutralize them. To accomplish this, water is taken from your cells in order to neutralize the unnatural sodium chloride.

This results in a less-than-ideal fluid balance in the cells.

You Are Losing Precious Intracellular Water When You Eat Normal Table Salt

For every gram of sodium chloride that your body cannot get rid of, your body uses 23 times the amount of cell water to neutralize the salt. Eating common table salt causes excess fluid in your body tissue, which can contribute to:

Unsightly cellulite
Rheumatism, arthritis and gout
Kidney and gall bladder stones
When you consider that the average person consumes 4,000 to 6,000 mg of sodium chloride each day, and heavy users can ingest as much as 10,000 mg in a day, it is clear that this is a serious and pervasive issue.

Lightbulb stay healthy - sleep healthy

A Modern Prescription for Illness

How to Get Sick: Go to Bed After Midnight

This is a great way to get sick. From biblical times to just before the Industrial Revolution, people used to go to sleep and rise with the setting and rising of the sun. This is the natural way to align your peak activity with the body's natural hormonal rhythms.
Dr. Joseph Mercola believes the timing of your sleep affects its quality. Dr. Mercola says, "The more hours that you can sleep before midnight, the better off you will be." He cites a study published in the Lancet (a respected medical journal in Great Britain) indicating chronic sleep loss produces serious symptoms, such as the effects of aging and the early stages of diabetes (including age-related insulin resistance and memory loss).

Be anxious for nothing...

Psalm 127

A song for those who go up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord. A psalm of Solomon.
1 If the Lord doesn't build a house,
the work of its builders is useless.
If the Lord doesn't watch over a city,
it's useless for those on guard duty to stand watch over it.
2 It's useless for you to work from early morning
until late at night
just to get food to eat.
God provides for those he loves even while they sleep.
3 Children are a gift from the Lord.
They are a reward from him.
4 Children who are born to people when they are young
are like arrows in the hands of a soldier.
5 Blessed are those
who have many children.
They won't be put to shame
when they go up against their enemies in court.

Arrow healing cinnamon!

Healing Herb of the Week: Cinnamon

This delightful herb was part of the holy oil used to anoint the priests and vessels in the tabernacle of Moses (Exodus 30:22–25). It was also mentioned in setting the stage for romance (Proverbs 7:17–18). The ancient Chinese used cinnamon to treat health conditions as early as 2700 B.C.
Originally imported from India and Sri Lanka in biblical times, this herb has become one of America's favorite spices. It calms the stomach and may even prevent ulcers. Recent research indicates cinnamon contains benzaldehyde, an anti-tumor agent, along with antiseptic properties that kill the bacteria that cause tooth decay and disease-causing fungi and viruses. It may even prevent urinary tract infections (UTI) and infestations of candida. Dr. James A. Duke reports that USDA researchers discovered that cinnamon reduces the amount of insulin necessary for glucose metabolism in type 2 diabetes. One-eighth teaspoon of this herb triples insulin efficiency! (Warning: Although the substance is a powerful germicide, do not consume straight cinnamon oil. It may cause vomiting or kidney damage.)

Lightbulb the grains of the bible~

Healing Foods and Recipes

The Grains of the Bible: Barley and Wheat

God described the Israelite's Promised Land as "a land of wheat and barley" (Deuteronomy 8:8, emphasis added). Was it coincidence that the young boy in John 6:9–13 brought Jesus five barley loaves with which He fed thousands? Barley has been consumed for thousands of years and is known to improve potency, vigor, and strength. Roman gladiators at times were called barley eaters because they ate barley before their contests for bursts of strength.
While barley and wheat can be valuable, their young sprouts known as cereal grasses are considered by some to be true miracle foods. These grasses contain four essential compounds largely absent from our diets:
Antioxidant enzymes
Trace minerals
Chlorophyll
High-quality vegetable proteins

Arrow Sleep and Digestion~ by Dr. Rubin Jordan - Makers Diet.com

July 07, 2008

Advice for Healthy Living

The Unlikely But Essential Combo: Sleep and Digestion

Sleep disturbances set up vicious cycles of pain, fatigue, and emotional distress that make sleep even more unlikely. Things don't improve much during waking hours either for people who do not sleep well. Inadequate sleep increases sensitivity to bowel, skin, and muscle stimuli, thus leading to more pain and distress. Many people report that when they don't get sufficient sleep, their digestion suffers as a result.
The brain and gut are much alike. Both have natural 90-minute cycles. The slow wave sleep of the brain is interrupted by periods of rapid eye movement, or REM sleep, in which dreams occur. Poor sleep (and thus abnormal REM sleep-) has been reported by many if not most patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and non-ulcer dyspepsia (sour stomach).
Doctors often treat abnormal REM sleep with mild antidepressants, which may also be effective in treating IBS and non-ulcer dyspepsia. However, some stronger antidepressants make digestive problems worse. Once again this points to a link between sleeping problems and stomach problems. Do the two influence each other? Most likely.
