Thank you. As hard as it is for me, there's no way I would try to pull him out now. We both know he has to complete this mission, but I hope and pray they won't ask any more of him. He's given them all he has for the past four years.

Sandy, that poem says it all. Each day that passes is a day closer to him coming home, but it feels like each day gets a little harder to bear.

I truly appreciate your support.

Kathy, I just wanted to share something else...something that a friend did with her grade school children, but it certainly would work for ANY of us.
Her husband was on a 6 mo. assignment in Iraq. With two preschoolers at home and her missing him herself...she decided it was time that the children had something VISUAL that they could use to relate to when Daddy would be returning.
She went to the store and bought a bag of dried beans. Each child decorated 2 quart jars to set on their own dressers. Mom counted out 180 beans (representing the 6 mo. that Dad would be gone). One jar was labeled IRAQ, the other labeled HOME. Every night, when they went to bed, the children would take a bean out of the IRAQ jar and place it into the HOME jar.
As they began to see that the HOME jar was getting more and more beans in it, and the IRAQ jar was becoming less and less....it made things a bit easier for MOM to handle.

Just had to share, as silly as it sounds, simple things like this sometimes help us get through difficult times.

Hi Kathy~ Just wanted to tell you that I will keep your DS, his GF and all our military in my prayers. I thank him for serving his country, but I too, could not imagine the worry and frustration, you as a Mother are feeling.

Hope you hear from him soon and please tell him Thank you.
