I am in severe need of a psychologist/therapist.
Is there such thing as one that handles religion too, like a Christian psychologist? I feel like my connection with God has helped everything but wouldn't feel comfortable bringing that up with a therapist that doesn't know what I'm talking about. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Yes, there are.
I know that our church rents space to a Christian therapist. I think she is an MSW. Do you belong to a church? They might have a connection. If not, if there are any large churches in your area, you might call them and ask if they know of any. Wishing you well. |

I haven't asked about anything at my church but I can look into it.
I did a goodgle search and there's a Christian Psycologist about 15 mins from my house and I checked his name against my insurance and he's covered so I'm going to email him and see what the deal is but I'm also going to look for other options. Thank you for your suggestion I didn't even think to go to my church and ask. thi scould be just what I'm looking for.

I really hope this can be helpful. Since all of this happened, I've sort of immersed myself with God and everything, and I feel like it's been nothing but help.
I hope this can be the link between my confusion and understanding.

I see lots of hope here. You don't have to stumble in the dark any longer. Check out that connection you found re: a possible Christian therapist and if that doesn't work out, check your church office to see if they know of one. Also, you can print out the phamplet above to see if it is of help or go to the book store to see if there are good Christian books that might be of interest to you. How wonderful that you posted here! I can see the light shining in for you...relief coming. One thing all of us have to learn is that if we have a problem, we have to seek the solutions. And if one solution doesn't work, another one will. I heard a quote the other day that really excited me. It went like this: " God gives the birds their food. However, he doesn't throw it in their nests.' This can mean a few different things. But to me, generally it means that God provides what we need, but we have to take the action steps to make it happen. I hope you see the light coming into your life toward answers. Wishing you well.
