i am so sorry this is happening to your family.

but do think about the kids. parents staying together until they are grown will cause more emotional damage than having happy divorced parents.

my x went through that growing up. it was horrible and left scars on him and his siblings.

Chemar- I sit on the fence when it comes to counseling. If I agreed to it there would have to be some ground rules in place first. DH seems to be against all of it. To be honest I don't know what he is thinking, and asking would just give me a mixed answer.

Curious- I understand what you are saying but also know that there will be/ are scars no matter what we do. There are advantages and disadvantages to living separate lives under the same roof, and completely separate lives. I ask myself on a daily basis which is best.

Still thinking of you Weave. Frank said it so well in his post; you have so many people here who care about you. Just come here and let it all out whenever you feel the need.

sending hugs your way STILL!! hang in there friend.

We have our first and most likely last counseling session this afternoon. DH is vehemently against going. Thinks it is a huge waste of time. Somehow I got roped into going too. I tend to agree that I have better uses for that hour this afternoon.

Frank- Thanks for the reason to smile.

Survived the counseling session. No follow up appointment was made but... DH and I have homework that is designed to greatly slow the downward spiral. It won't fix anything just slow down the runaway train. A week or two from now we are to talk with Pastor long enough to decide if there will be a second counseling session and if so when. This method is new to me. Time will tell if it works or not. I must say Pastor is extremely sensitive to our leeriness of even thinking about trying counseling again. Moving/ packing continues.
