Many people in here have family & friends in the Galveston / Houston areas of Texas. Prayers are needed for those that have decided to "stick it out because we're quite a ways inland". They will still get the rain and the winds, possibly not as much flooding, but many have chosen to stay I guess.
One of these is my own brother and his family. He's northwest of Houston, has gotten food, water, and many batteries and is going to stick it out. Knowing that when power goes out, it most likely will knock out cell phone services....the waiting and not hearing anything is going to be difficult. While seeing all of the news on tv...take a moment please for a heartfelt prayer for all living in the path of Ike, God be with you, Marilyn
