Sorry to hear about your Mom. Hopefully the docs have her med dosage straight now and she will be okay. I know it is worrisome with you so far away. Hugs coming your way.

So glad your dear Mom is able to leave the hospital. I'm sorry she had to learn a lesson the hard way, but I do hope she'll be better to take her meds. (Or was she prescribed the wrong dosage?) Hugs to you Sandy, and an extra one for Jim.

My sister checked her meds and thinks she was taking them. She has a weekly pill container and the meds were gone that should have been taken. I personally think her neuro needs to add another seizure med or try a combo to help stop the seizures. When Jim had seizures he was on three seizure meds, Gabapentin, Lamotrigine and Depakote. He never took Dilantin. He was eventually weened from Depakote and just recently Gabapentin and Lamotrigine.

My sister is going to talk to the doctor. The er doctor did say he thinks she may need a combo dose of Dilantin and another seizure medication.

Thanks again everyone. I talked to mom just now and she's feeling better. She said she felt something coming on but thought it would pass. I told her if she's going to live alone she needs to call someone when she starts to have any weird feelings just to make sure someone knows to call for help if need be.

So scary, Sandy! Your poor Mother has sure had her share.

Will keep her and your family too, in my prayers.
