The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His face upon you and give you SHALOM. In the name of SAR SHALOM - the Prince of Peace. Numbers 6:24-26: The Hebrew word SHALOM is understood around the world to mean peace. But peace is only one small part of the meaning of the word SHALOM. Here in Israel, even though we don't have much in the way of peace, we use the word SHALOM on a daily basis. We use it to greet people with, and we use it to bid farewell to people. However, SHALOM means much more than peace, hello or goodbye. Strong's Concordance 7965 - Hebrew Shalom ..... A word study in the New King James version for SHALOM says: Completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord. Shalom comes from the root verb Shalom meaning to be complete, perfect and full. In modern Hebrew the obviously related word Shelem means to pay for, and Shulam means to be fully paid. Sar SHALOM (Prince of Peace) is one of the descriptive names the Bible uses to indicate the ministry and personality of the Messiah: Isaiah 9:6 - The Son of God is completely perfect in all things. So in essence, when you speak out the word SHALOM - you are not only proclaiming peace, but all the above meanings of the word over that person - that's a mighty blessing...

I'll be praying for you and your grand-daughter Dottie.
We have other members here on the site who've done the same thing for the welfare of their own grandchildren. I pray that the outcome will be as good for you and your own dear child.

Dottie, my prayers go out for you and your granddaughter. I pray your son can get his life together and learn to lead the family he and his GF have started. I know it so hard for you to watch them make the mistakes they do.

UPDATE: My son FINALLY called me tonight. He asked if he could come and stay here for a while. I said "What about the baby?" He said she will be coming too.
He said he will come tomorrow. I am not going to hold my breath, but I am hoping he comes. If I have him here I can get him help. And I'll know the baby is safe. He said he can't stay with his GF anymore, he cldn't go into detail but would explain when he sees me? I am hoping he has seen the light and has realized how bad he has screwed up. I know, probably wishful thinking on my part, But I really feel like if I can get him here I can help him. (if he is out of the denial and knows he needs help) As long as they are together there is no hope at all. So keep your fingers crossed that this is a start. Thanks again for all the support. Dottie

please hold on the the very real peace from God
The prophet Isaiah wrote, "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal." (Isaiah 26:3,4.) Trusting in God means recognizing Him and giving Him His rightful place in our lives. We must also accept the agent of peace He has provided. Isaiah wrote of the Messiah who was to come: "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this." -Isaiah 9:6,7 http://jewsforjesus.org/publications/issues/1_10/shalom

I pray that your granddaughter stay with you; she belongs in your loving arms. May God give you the strength you need to see this through. I hope it can be done with a minimum of problems but, if you have to start proceedings, then I will pray for strength for you.
