Default My mom was rushed to the hospital this morning

She was acting strange and my sister said she was talking out of her head this morning. She called someone to check on her and they called 911. The ENT witnessed her having a seizure and they think she had multiple ones.

Please keep her in your prayers. I'll know more later. This is so hard being so far away.

I just talked to my sister and they said her Dilantin is low which leads them to believe she isn't taking her meds like she should. They are going to run a ct scan because this all started with the tumor she had surgery on. She confused right now as expected but if she snaps out of it they may let her go home. I am very concerned that she shouldn't be living alone. Her neuro says it's OK but I just don't know.

Shocked this is always

very alarming...

If you send me a PM with her meds on it, I may be able to see something there. If so that is fixable, and more common that you'd think.

I hope it is not a brain tumor --I'll be sending positive thoughts for her and you!

How frightening for you (((Sandy))), and frustrating that you are so far away from your dear Mom. I don't blame you for being concerned about her living alone.

Maybe MrsD can detect something that will shine a light.

Meanwhile, keeping you and your dear Mom in my prayers.

Thank you so much! Let me call my sis and get the full run down of all her meds.

I forgot to add, she also has mg to round off her problems. :-(

Oh, Sandy, how scary!! You and your Mom are in my prayers. I hope MrsD can shed some light on things and ease your mind a bit. I know it must be so hard to have to deal with this from a distance and not be able to be right there with her.

Ok, mom is on her way home. They said her dilantin levels were too low and they up'd her dose. She's staying at my sisters tonight but is already wanting to go home. haha

Thanks for the prayers. I am still sick to my stomach over her being alone. Ugh

Thank God it was just her meds. I understand what you're going through Sandy. I hope she'll be able to keep better track of her meds in the future.
