I have been holding you in my prayers for a while now, and am so happy that so many others are as well. I will continue to keep you both in my prayers, and pray that His strength, and comfort will continue to ease your and DH's pain and difficulties

Heart Thank you everyone.

I posted this in the MS Forum, but I wanted to update you all, so I hope you'll all forgive a duplicate post, just this once.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words, and your thoughts and prayers during this recent difficult time for us.

DH was discharged from hospital yesterday, although I really would rather that he stayed a few days longer.

I'm not sure that he was quite ready to come home because he's still very weak, pale and dizzy. He had all sorts of complications and even lost over half his total blood supply after the operation.... so much so that he ended up having to have 3 seperate blood transfusions.

Even knowing all of this, his surgeon said he was doing well enough not to need any rehabiltation physio, so he sent DH home.

Who am I to argue, I'm just a mere wife?

I must admit that I'm already feeling worn out, and he's only been home a little over 24 hours. We do have a house keeper, a carer for both our hygeine needs (like showering etc) and all sorts of other help that the MS Society provided for us, but I have a feeling I'm going to be exhausted over the next few weeks.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to have my DH home with me where he belongs, but the end of the week probably would have been better for both us us.

It was his dad Twink. DH's father had a major stroke under the anesthetic and died having a similar operation some years back, so we were both on tenderhooks hoping that DH would not suffer the same fate, especially seeing he's already had one mini stroke. Thank goodness that didn't happen.

The worst of it is over for my hubby now... although the hard work is only just beginning! He has heaps to do in the physio department if it's not all going to be for nothing. Lots and lots of hard work!

I didn't want to post an update without letting you all know just how much your support has meant to me. I'm not sure that I'd have managed as well as I did, without it.

Thank you again everyone.
