I do so hope that things level out for you soon Weave. Although things may not be ideal at home, I understand a little of how you feel.

Everyone made it through the night. I plan to go to work as scheduled but may change my mind later. I start at 10. DH snapped. He is quiet. Too quiet for my comfort. Keep praying. It snowed last night and he refuses to go to work today. He did call in to let them know and said before he hung up that he would be in the next day. If it snows again like they predict he told me he won't go in. It sounds like he is going to pick up DS from school today as I work late because Boss is on vacation this week. DD is homeschooled so she will be with DH unless I take her with me. Not sure what to do. She is 17 and we talked briefly this morning. Just keep praying.

Please try to reach out for help..for all of you...soon. Community resources, neighborhood church, maybe eve a local crises center.....

I agree with what the others have said, please try and reach out for help - I know it might be very hard and upsetting to do but you shouldn't have to deal with all of this and nor should your children! I have been where your DH is now and I KNOW that it is a very scary place to be and it is so important to try and get help!! I see a Psychologist and she has really helped me - that's not to say I don't still get depressed, I do but I can cope with it better through the coping mechanisms that she has given me!!!

Please keep us all updated and try and get some much-needed help for all of you. You're in my thoughts and prayers!

Dear Weaveherr...I will join you in prayer for your husband. I will also pray that you receive comfort, too. Depression and withdrawal are always so painful and confusing, because it's hard to reach someone when they won't or can't take your hand. Just shower DH with love, and hopefully it will sift its way down to where he is right now. I'm here for you.

Thank you for your continued prayers. It appears as though DH acted all day today like nothing was wrong. I'm not sure how to take that. I will say it is snowing again so I don't think he will go to work tomorrow. I do not work tomorrow but will be gone Thursday and Friday morning.

I would give a few people my phone number but that may create more problems with DH than it is worth. I do think the kids and I are safe with him but my guard is up. I will try to not let more than 48 hours go by with out a brief posting. He has never hit me or the kids. I know. There is a first time for everything. I saw the snap coming for months/ years now and feared it would be very violent. I'm thankful it isn't but do wonder what lurks around every corner.

We had just started to counsel with our pastor right before the holidays and vacations. Pastor has been bugging DH to start up again but so far we haven't. I stopped going to church again in late fall. DH goes because our daughter wants to. Pastor does know what is currently going on.

Snow then ice closed DS's school and delayed DH's work by two hours. It appears as though DH did go to work this morning. Now he did sling verbal mud at me before leaving. He could make an appointment with a divorce lawyer, and quit his job today too for all I know. Anything could happen and I'm sure it will. We are scheduled to meet with our pastor tomorrow but the time will need to be changed a bit. Keep us wrapped in prayer. The warmth and caring are sanity savers right now. Time to go shovel the frozen carp.
