((((((((Twink & Dad))))))))

I have been through the hospice stuff with my brother. I am so glad they are being helpful. Ours were not.

You will cherrish the memories of your last days/weeks. There will be bright spots. Words spoken that wouldn't happen in another setting. They will be tough. Some of the hardest days you have had.

You are a special daughter.

We are all here for you Ro.

Many prayers and hugs.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Twink. :(

I feel very insensitive for writing to you and sending my hopes that your father was doing better. I had no idea. I had only read one post from when you'd arrived back after your recent trip. Forgive me if I seemed insensitive... I just did not know.

You're in my thoughts during this most difficult time.

 and prayer going up for your dad to go peacefully and for you to gain the strength you need to go on.

PS: I am so so glad you got his recordings back.

Twink,

I was with my Dad when he left this world, my Mom too. I consider that to be a great gift, to help them pass peacefully (and to be be able to). I hope one of your relatives will be there to support you. My sister was with me.

Just remember that many people here are praying for you and your dear father.

My Dad also died from cancer, at age 92. It didn't take long from diagnosis. It was hard to see him suffer and it took a lot out of me. He also wanted to remain in his own house, and he did until about the last week when he was hospitalized and had hospice.

I'll keep you and your family in my prayers....

:hug:For both you and your Dad, Ro.

I also went through this with my Dad. Hospice was a godsend. It wasn't easy and there are still days when I feel as if I could have done better, but it is what it is. I was able to dance the last dance with Dad as he left this world.

I am praying it will be as painless and peaceful as possible for you both.

((((TWINKLES:hug:)))), our family just walked this road this past week with my dear father-in-law. Hospice was a godsend for him.

I will keep you and your Dad in my prayers.

Bless your Dad Ro, and Bless you for being w/him now. He's been a tough ole guy and has proven that time and again, but he needs to be w/your Mother now and free of pain. You, Dad and your family are in my prayers. I have been where you are now and it's hard; glad Hospice is there for you.

Lara, the fact that you wrote something means everything to me. Of course you wouldn't know -- don't even worry about it!

And thank you to everyone else who posted.

We're thankful that my eldest bro and his dear wife were able to arrive from Texas while Dad is still with us. They are spending the night at Dad's so I get to sleep in my own bed tonight. :)

I can honestly say that I feel the comfort from your prayers. I am not a basket case at all (even though my post may have made it sound that way). Thanks again.
