The doctors are giving reason to be hopeful. His swelling is starting to go down. His vitals are stablized. The took of the neck brace. They have yet to determine if there is brain damage. They decided to wait a while longer before trying to bring him out of the coma. Give him more time to get stronger.

Oh my, that's just awful to even imagine, Friend. I hadn't read your thread until today, and so happy that the swelling is going down.

That's good news, Friend2U. Anything positive is good news. Time can be his friend in this situation. I hope and pray that there's no brain damage and that he can make a full recovery.

They changed their mind about bringing him out of the coma yet. His vitals are stable. They took him into surgery today to clean out some of the wounds. He has so many broken and crushed bones and so much tissues torn off.

They discovered an infection in one of his arms that was only getting worse, with no hope of stopping it. It was in the bones. They had to take off his arm from below the shoulder.

I'll tell you, he has such an uphill climb. I trust that God has true blessings in this for his family. I'm trying to stay positive.

Thank you for continued prayers. I wish I had better news.

I can imagine the anguish you and the rest of your family must be feeling right now Friend. What an awful price your nephew had pay when he lost his arm..... but I thank The Lord that he's improving.

Please know that I'll continue to keep he and you in my prayers, and I look forward to hearing positive updates in the near future.
