Default Post Surgical Update

Hi everyone! I just wanted to let those know how I was doing that might be wondering. It has been a week yesterday! I am still very sore but I am able to get out of bed and sit in the recliner. I even felt up to going to my son's first tball game Saturday. I feel like they finally got this battery in a good spot. It finally feels flat. That is the first time ever after 3 surgerys. The doctor said no bending, twisting, pulling, or pushing. Thats going to be hard with two young children in the house. But I am really trying to let this thing scar in place. They have placed it in my right back just above my waistline of my pants. It already seems alot less pain than the days before surgery. This is very encouraging. Well my recliner is going to be my friend for a few weeks. Thanks for all the prayers! It so helped out a lot. I even went to a easter party at church with my children this week. I know it sounds like being out too much. But I actually feel better than before surgery. And easter only comes once a year and first tball game is once in a lifetime. My children is why I have done this to try to get a somewhat normal life back atleast so I can enjoy their child hood and be there for them. There what keeps me going. Thanks again for all the prayers that went out. And hope you all had a HAPPY EASTER!

I am so glad to hear that you are doing well and they finally found a good spot for the battery!!! You are so right about all the firsts that you don't want to miss. I believe you are well on your way to making a whole lot of firsts with your family now!!

Keep us updated as your recovery continues!! We, at least I know I do, love to hear how everyone here in this "extended family" is doing.

Hi everyone well its been a week and a half. I am feeling pretty good except for this incision is so sore and tender to the touch. It burns a little. Otherwise though I am still feeling optomistic that this placement of the generator is great. Thanks for all the continued prayers and support. You guys here are the best. Thanks a bunch.

Laying on ICE those first several days were of great comfort! ....(for the incision, that is.............not the RSD area!)

After all you've been thru with revisions and everything....THIS HAS to be the REAL DEAL for you! ....I'm sharing in your optimism

Hi everyone. I went to get my stiches out today. It is the first time I have spoken to the surgeon from our grogey meeting at the hospital. He said that when I fell that the battery got turned side ways and ripped my internal pocket he had made for it. He said that he had to go in and rpair the torn stuff and then sow it shut and make a new pocket for the battery. He said this one is in some pouch that is sowed down lots better than the original. He assured me that is why I have been hurting so bad over the last couple days. He said I was feeling good to quick and became to active and the swelling and all the stiches just got to inflammed. He said to use lidoderm patches on it. So with that thought I'm headed to bed. Thanks All!

that is great news. You MUST take it easy and listen to the dr when he says not to do anything. That is the best way to heal and start getting better again.

Hugs
