Default I finally did it!!!

I golfed this weekend!! Not only did I golf 9 holes but I actually went 18!!!! Yes, I am crazy! But it was AWESOME!!!! I am so sore I could scream!! But it is a good pain...if there is such a thing. It's the soreness that you feel from knowing you had a great workout. It has been years since I have felt that and it is remarkable! My wish for every single person who reads this post is to be able to get to the point where I am at and beyond, if they are not already there. I want everyone to experience the joy and happiness that I am feeling right now!!! I know I still have a long journey to travel and there will be roadblocks (as I experienced one just last week) but days like Saturday are well worth them.

I actually didn't start feeling sore until about the 15th hole. It probably didn't help that on Sunday I played this Dancing Wii game with my son and his friend. Apparently, I was thinking I was a Solid Gold dancer or something (Oops, I think I just dated myself!!) until I realized that my son and his friend were laughing AT me and not WITH me!! I just love being active again! I truly did NOT think that it would ever happen again. I think my husband and I are going to buy a Wii so I can stay active this winter or I mean as a gift for my son's birthday......yah, a gift for my son!!! The dancing one is so much fun and my son really did love playing it, too! Besides, I hear that the Wii Fit is really good!

Oops, getting off the subject a bit there.....tomorrow will be my 6 month anniversary with JJ so I thought it fitting that I golfed this past weekend. I just can't express how exhilarating it was to be out there on the course and swinging the clubs again. If I am able to golf, there is unlimited possiblities for all of you out there.....go ahead and dream and visualize yourself fulfulling those dreams.....they will come true.....maybe not tomorrow or even in a year or two but with a little faith......anything can happen! I am living proof of that!!!

BTW - my score was absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! But I've always said that a bad day of golf is better than a good day at work so I will accept any score with a SMILE!!

! I am so happy for you that you were able to golf again! And congratulations on your anniversary with JJ I hope that you will continue to have a great relationship with JJ and can enjoy life more and more! I remember when my stim used to do that for me and when I was able to exercise it was such a great feeling Also, I absolutely love the new wii fit plus because it had even more fun activities than the first one and it is a lot of fun to do! I also like the dancing games as well and my husband promised we could take dancing lessons when mine is all fixed so I cannot wait! Thank you so much for your post and your attitude and outlook is really admirable and makes me feel even more motivated! take care Tara

Smile Boat coming out for me

I think I may give the boat a try!! Too soon, well, it should involve less twisting than golf, and I don't have to keep score!

Loving your zestful return to life Rogue!!! Let's go shoot some .308 rounds,, gee I might even get on the paper! Oh, wait, I sold that rifle because I thought before SCS came into me life I would never see the broadside of a mountain pack on back rifle at my side ever again. Maybe I can get it back from the guy........ Oh well, my ARMY son is the Expert marksman. I am a hacker.

Har Har Har,
Mark56

Default AWESOME Mark!!!

I'm so glad to hear that you might be getting out on the boat! Just be careful!! I'll be thinking of you! I may try and golf again this weekend. We'll see how the weather holds up. Make sure you let us know how things go if you do end up going!!

BTW - You really know how to sweet talk a girl!!! .308 rounds...rifles....how did you know I LOOOOOOVE to shoot?!?!?!?!?! My husband thinks I'm crazy. I do not hunt but I love to target shoot.....Breathe, Relax, Aim, Slack, Squeeze......I love the calmness I feel when it's just me focusing on the target and everything else in the world goes away!! Yah, I know.....I'm a freak!!!

I think when we have our first ever reunion of the Bionic Butt folks, we will have to include horseback riding, boating, target shooting, bicycling, and just good times. My wife said we HAVE to do this. BTW, 37th anniversary this Thursday. That is going to be special.

Yeah, I so like the breathe, relax, exhale, aim, slack, gently squeeze process of getting on target. This works no matter the discipline, no matter the application.

Mark,
mayhaps a nice .243 with a lighter load to start? Might I also suggest a .17 for even a nicer start back at targets? My true preference is a compound bow, 3-D targets or a tree stand after a hard frost to reduce the bug population..........

Well, actually, I USED to be able to put a .300 Win mag grouping at 1,000 yards inside the size of a dime. Not so anymore, I reckon.....

Even so, I was kinda hoping in a dream state that if we pulled a reunion event, I might be able to buy PJ, make my family complete. But then that is dreaming......
