Default Your right Rhonda!

That's the way I describe it too!!!...LOL...Like a Kitty purr. Yeah, I'm so excited about finally getting the permanent. I've been waiting forever it feels like.

I've been wondering what I was going to do about laying on my back because of the placement of my unit will be in my tushy area and I think I'm gonna get one of those travel neck brace things that way the unit will not be pushed up against anything and I'll be able to lay on my back. I've learned after the trial that my body does NOT like to lay in one position for days on end. If I can get one that is flat enough I should be good to go.

If anyone has tried this idea out let me know how it worked for ya!

It's getting ready to storm here so gonna get off for now. Hope everyone has a very nice and relaxing Sunday!

Hi Treca

I lay on my back all the time as its the only way I can be comfortable. My battery is in my left butt and I dont feel it at all when I lay down. Occasionally, I have to lie on my right side, cant do left anymore, just to 'relax' my back, but I find laying on my back the most comfortable.....

Have never tried the neck brace, let us know how it goes ok

Jackie

Hey Jackiey!

Yeah, I wanted to get the neck thing for right after surgery because I know that my body won't let me rest on my left side alone......lol so hopefully this will help me out. After I heal completely I am hoping that I will be like you and be able to lay on my back without the need of a neck pillow...

I do know what you mean about lying down all of the time, having been there, done that. I empathize. I hope in time you find the relief that is necessary to make real difference in your life!

Default Positioning

Hi Treca,

When my SCS was new, I never laid on the operative side; always on my back or on my left side with a pillow between my knees.

To help with the post-op pain, I positioned an ice pack over my surgical site. The flat gel packs are great!

Take care,

Rhonda
