Default Removal of pain pump

[QUOTE=Leesha33;744414]Hello everyone!

I just joined this site today and after searching all over the internet it seems I have come to the right place

My main reason for this thread is that I currently have a pain pump and I am considering having my it removed.

I know this is an old thread but I just found it. After nine years with a pain pump I had it removed for many reasons.

Please email me if you want more information.

Kelli from Wisconsin

Smile Hello Kelli!

Welcome aboard!
It's SO good to see you. There have been a few folks coming here asking about the pumps. So, you've had yours for 9 years! wow!

It would be so wonderful if you'd share some of your experience. What were the pro's and con's of having the pain pump?

I hope you aren't in too much pain now that you don't have it in anymore.

It's great that you are here!

Rae

Default Pain pump

Hi Kelli - welcome to the group. If you wouldn't mind, could you share the reasons for having your pump removed? I know very little about them - I think taking such a small amount of the pain meds and have them delivered right where they are most effective would be super. But if you had yours removed, then likely my thinking is flawed. Too bad there isn't a miracle for us all!!

Default Weight Gain

Hi Everyone
ESPECIALLY LEESHA 33

I FEEL YOUR PAIN

I am still having SO much trouble with the weight gain, it's driving me out of my mind! Especially when my Dr says "Your weight gain is NOT from the pump. In fact, most of my patients Lose Weight" well, I've gained over 50 pounds too, and eat as healthy as I always did.

I really don't know what to do anymore. I've become an introvert. I'm missing the best part of my life by never seeing my beautiful 6 grandchildren, mostly because I scare everyone around me when I scream out in pain when the nerve Fires!
But the weight gain is killing me slowly, and keeps me home, all alone, and hurts emotionally as much as the nerve pain! I feel like my legs are not strong enough to hold my upper body up. I can't stand or walk for more than a couple of minutes.
Does anyone know any ideas about getting rid of tjhis weight without removing the pump?
I spoke to my Dr about it. She will do it, but then NOT FIVEME ANY ORAL MEDS, which Never caused me to gain any weight.

Anyone have any ideas?

PS: I Pray for ALL of you guys

Default The pump & weight gain

My name is Dominick. I feel your pain. My Dr told me that it's NOT the pump meds causing my weight gain. Can you believe that? My story is a carbon copy of your, and I have no clue as to what to do. My pain hasn't gotten much better, & Iscare everyone, (especially my grandchildren) when I scream out from the stabbing pain in my head.

If you find anything to help, let me know. And I certainly will do the same for you. If you would like to talk more, or compare our findings, I would be happy to talk to you
Sincerely,
Dominick

It was suggested that I too have the pain pump

5/6-6/7 first anterior then posterior
If could have my hard wear taken out I would
The suffering of pain from it being botched
after closure
I am sad to hear that both of you continue to suffer
along with added problems
I feel you pain and frustration
