No such thing as a 'stupid question' !
How is that saying.......the only 'stupid' question is the one never asked!! :)

Besides, you probably do feel unique to the rest of us....and that's cuz you ARE! Your Nevro unit is still in the 'experimental phase' here in the states....according to the website (unless it is an outdated webpage)...the one Mark provided......

You are blazing a new trail, so you've got more hanging on your shoulders....and I'm sure I'd be asking all these Q's too!

......wonder if you'll read this post here in the USofA....or in flight......or last minute from Ireland - How excited I am for you!
Everything will work out just fine! Now's the time to zero in on your plans and this much-needed vacation you are embarking upon!

All airports make me nervous - much less going on a transcontinental one with a new implant! You've done a wonderful job of seeing to it that all the bases are covered.

Anxious to hear an update!

The Only Stupid Questions

Jenna- your questions have all be right on target and NONE have smacked of stupidity.... NEVER!! This is a place of, among other things, learning! Rae is so right!

Here are the only stupid questions I know, courtesy of actual queries by lawyers in hearings:

1. Now, these stairs that went down to the basement; did they go up also?

2. Obtaining testimony of a coroner - Now, the deceased was lying on your table as you performed the autopsy. Was he dead at that time?

And there are so many more from the pages of court files the world over.:D

Enjoy your fantastic trip!!
Prayin all goes well,
:hug:ZZ Mark56

Ha Hahahahhaha! :ROTFLMAO::ROTFLMAO:

......... oh my! The hardest part about answering those questions would be
....keeping a STRAIGHT FACE! :p

OBJECTION! your Honor... :Clever: Badgering the Witness........ Motion to REMOVE the Cross-Examiner!

Mark, I will be sure to pass these on to my son. He is an attorney, Lisa

Mark56 03-23-2011 12:34 AM

Oh Yeah Lisa- He May Grin Politely

Having had a very full career as an attorney until my wreck, I was ALWAYS the recipient of attorney jokes. These quoted are oldies and were based on actual trial transcripts once upon a time. I think I even read them in the ABA Journal once upon a time. Anyway, I press on continuing to seek a foothold where my career may continue now that the Stim is proven to work for me.

Tell your son Howdy from Colorado,
I am sure you are proud of him,

Hi Jenna!

Oh Jenna, dear Jenna, wherefore art thee?
Are you in the air
and are you fair
or exemplary?

Hey Mark, he is still a "baby attorney" so he has not heard all the jokes yet!. You are right though, I am very proud of him and also of my daughter who has her masters' degree in social work and is now working for the VA.

I just got my college degree and since my employer "early retired" me in January I am beating the job market too. Hopefully things are better in Colorado then they are in NW Ohio. Of course i've got the AGE thingy working against me too. This is going to be one of the oddest college graduations on record with my kids, parents, brother and grandson attending!!

Good luck on getting your career back, if anyone can it will be you! Lisa

Hi All
Greetings from the USA and the gorgeous californian sunshine!

Having a wonderful break away. the journey went off without a hitch believe it or not. Yes the journey was long but the wheelchair assistance at all the airports really helped me, I definately would not have been able for the 4km walk in chicago . the guy who took me to the plane even let ellie sit on me knee and he pushed both of us all the way. the security in dublin was non eventful and they looked after ellie as she went through the scanner on her own. in chicago the security was a little more full on. they were fine with doctors letters etc but the body frisk was very intrusive on my personal space but i guess they have to be careful but really think it should not be done in public! but saying that absolutely nobody seemed to be bothered with what i was going through and ellie took it all in her stride sitting on the chair until i was finished. my sister and her sons have been great and i am being spoilt rotten but today i brought ellie to legoland and we had such a ball every step hurt but her face and joy kept me going the hardest part is standing in line for each of the rides the burning pain was too much at times. the weather has been fantastic and with her house across the road from the ocean i am getting to see some great sunsets each evening. i still have not been able to do much shopping but really just enjoying being with everyone. i am on skype every night with the baby and hubby and they are all doing fine without us and i think the skype call everyday is stopping us all missing each other too much. well if you could all say a prayer that everything continues to go great and hopefully my legs wont be too bad tomorrow. wednesday is disney land day so have to be able to do it all again!

At large amusement parks, especially such as Disneyland, they "rent" wheelchairs at the entrance for those who have difficulties. The walking and standing in line would get you down. Wheelchair folks are often taken with their group to a quicker means to get in as well. I went through Disneyworld with my wheelchair. I use my cushion of course whenever I am in the chair as it also helps.

Enjoy and share joy,
:hug:ZZZ Mark56

I'm 'taking notes' !

And so excited!
We are going to try to do a family vacation to DisneyLand this summer!
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go the 'wheelchair' route! I know how long lines can get AND this will be in JULY!
Hmmmm......Maybe I'll even customize mine with an umbrella for shade!
Maybe we can get a photo of Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck pushing me along! :p

Thinking of you today Jenna! Hope DisneyLand is everything you were hoping it would be! One of the most 'satisfying' things about it probably, is seeing the looks on our kids' faces!

I've been to DL, but I was only a kid and this was when we lived in Calif.
.......sevvvveral decades ago......ehemmm
I know a lot has changed since then!

Anxious to hear an update!

Rae
