Hi Sophie, I know exactly what you mean when you say that you find the stim a bit of a nuisance for your back. I dont get much coverage there and if and when I do its so bad I have to turn it down. I get some good relief in my legs, but only when lying down or sitting for a while. When I go out to walk I barely feel it and if I have to turn it up high to actually feel it my legs feel numb and basically its impossible to actually walk properly with it that high. I was told by my Dr that it wasnt great for back but great for legs. Had a programming session two weeks ago but unfortunately they are not working the way I thought they would. My Rep changed the sensation too and boy is it uncomfortable. So Ive emailed her again (she comes over from UK) to ask when her next appointment session will be and that I want to come back in again! Glad to hear that you got to work today, well done :) Jackie :) |
Amen to That- Back to Work Today
Thank you Jackie for chiming in! I certainly do wonder why there is such a plethora of "doesn't help with the back" among our SCS brothers and sisters, for you see, my paddles are implanted on my spinal cord at T8, effectively providing coverage from my navel all the way down as far as my damaged nerves allow me to feel......... in this I wonder again am I just anomalous or was this the intended result of my surgeon? I do find lumbar region coverage as well as legs with my setup. Perhaps you all speak to a desire for a higher reach of the Stim effect?
It is great that you felt well enough to make the trek in to work today, Sophie!! Here's to you:Dancing-Chilli::Dancing-Chilli::Dancing-Chilli::Dancing-Chilli::Dancing-Chilli::Dancing-Chilli::Dancing-Chilli::Dancing-Chilli: May all have a good day recovering from your Mother's Day festivities!!
