Talking I am finally able to come back for good!!!

Hi everyone, I wanted to say I am really sorry that I had to leave for awhile. I was very sad to leave because I really care about everyone on here and was wondering how you were all doing. I had to leave though because of the lawsuit and certain people know my story and how it pertains to me ending up with a stimulator in the first place. I am happy to say that it was finally settled yesterday....after 3 horrible years! We ended up with a positive outcome although I cannot go into detail about it but I am thankful it is over and I get to have my life back. Also, I was able to finally have my dream wedding on Oct. 2 and I walked down the aisle and even was able to dance with my husband! I will be posting pictures soon as things calm down around here...we are still trying to deal with some other issues and health concerns but I am so thankful I get to come back here and I do not have to worry about them seeing my posts or harassing me about them. I also now have my Bachelor's degree and am working on getting into the teaching program starting in spring with redoing my math classes that I had taken and did not do well because of all the surgeries etc. So, I just wanted to say that I will be back and able to hang around and hopefully catch up on my old friends and make some new friends too. I cannot say how much I am so very thankful for my stim and that everything I have gone through (even the bad stuff) was worth it because I am finally rebuilding my life I will be back very soon! Take care

Tara

Laugh Tara!

Oh it's so great to see you again! We've got several new friends for you to meet!

Tears came to my eyes when I saw that you finally had your dream wedding! AND you got your degree! Sounds like you've been thru the gammet, and like always, you've come through like the trooper you are. It's amazing Tara, you should write a book or at least a blog. Many people would be touched and strengthened by your faith.

oh, and btw we've had people change their user name because of issues like you describe. Feel free to contact a moderator and they'll be happy to do this for you.

You will always have your friends here....some have come clear from Ireland and the UK! ....or have 'we' came to 'them'......however this world wide web works, I'm so thankful that it brings all of us together.
it's great to have you back!

friends forever,
Rae

Heart Understood very well Tara

That is truly one great concern about social media...... the fact of discovery in litigation. Your counsel was wise, and we rejoice at having you return!! Now if we rejoice at your return, we must do FLIPS at having learned of your dream wedding and all that has come together for your life you dear lady!!!!

We Gotta have a Wedding party on here somehow!! Must celebrate the new Bride and Groom!! May the Lord bless you and keep you in your new life together!!

OK, here they come--

Giddy for you BOTH!

Hi Tara,
I'm not sure if we met before you left, I think I've been here since early this year. Good to have you back and I look forward to getting to know you.

Congratulations on your wedding and on everything else working out.

All the best

Heart Thank you so much for thinking of me!

I was so touched when I read everyone's replies and it meant a lot to me. Its been such a stressful week for me with the legal stuff and dealing with health problems. I also had to go to the hospital for my mom's tests and we still don't know what is wrong with her Then I had to start new catheter treatments yesterday for my IC and I have to go for a test tomorrow about my pelvic pain. I can't believe my doctors actually said that I should not be feeling any pain at all because I have a neurostimulator! Its not like it is hooked up all over my body and I still have issues with pain and numbness in my legs but the stim does help a lot. I also found out that the injuries in my back will never go away and will probably just keep getting worse so I am doubly thankful I was able to even get a stim! I was also mad though because I found out during the legal thing that some of my doctors had lied to me about things and I did not know things were this bad or that I would keep getting worse. Anyway, I am not going to dwell on it because I should just be thankful I am not in that wheelchair or walker anymore and I will probably be in pain for the rest of my life...but that is just the hand I got dealt and I will deal with it and keep working on things. I am also going to start relearning how to drive in the spring. Well, I need to wrap this up I can't wait to meet the new people on here and I am so glad to see my old friends again Rae, I forgot to tell you that I do plan on making a blog or something about my whole stimulator experience from the trial-to the paddle leads in November but I need to wait until the legal stuff is totally done! I already started writing a mini version on my facebook but that was just because my friends kept asking me what my stim was lol. I really hope that being able to share my story will help other people and will let you guys know about it when it is finished Take care!

Smile Yup

Dear Tara, I do so sympathize with you, as my injuries to the nervous system were permanent as well.... all because the first four surgeons to whom I was sent refused me treatment. ANGRY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I could/would have rearranged their physiques had I known as they were dropping me like some hot potato due to my profession when their refusal to treat me was, in itself, making my injury permanent!!!! Oh, and I will worsen as time goes by, but I am dedicated to taking the blessings God has placed in my life and do well by them, this is my lot, my call, my goal in life. Pay forward the best I may possibly do; for this reason, I greet people with "I am blessed, how are you?"

Ever your supportive friend,
Mark56
