Here's a Prayer....

That your rep has a solution for you Sandy!!!! It just seems your charging phase is too long, longer than the literature advertises. Maybe like Jackie you have a faulty battery inside.... could be, ya know?

My rep thinks that I may not be positioning the charger directly on the battery. The belt shifts around and the charger doesn't stay in place. I have a hearing loss and don't hear high pitch sounds very well. It's a challenge for me to hear the beeps. The beeping drives my husband crazy. The rep suggested I contact cust. service and order the self adhesive patches. They should be here in a couple of days. Has anyone used the patches?

Sandy

Sticky

The adhesive works....... Sticky... so take care peeling the charger off when the charging cycle is complete.

To be honest, I quit messing with the belt and attachments. I just place the charger directly over the battery unit and make sure that the contact signal reads strong. Then I just sit still and watch a movie or lie down to sleep.

I found it nearly impossible to be up and around while trying to charge.

Just me. :o I'm a weenie

Pete and Repeat

Played this one as a kid. Rae is "Pete" and I am "Repeat" here since I do the same. No adhesive. Just use a convenient piece of waistband elastic found on something I wear to hold the battery charger in place as I lay in bed to charge. TV, doze, whatever, until the top is reached.

Yup,
Mark:D

PETE and RE-PETE :D That's the names we picked out for our twins.....
....But my HUSBAND says that their REAL names are...
OOPs & BOO-BOO!

Mark56 11-24-2011 02:02 AM

Har

Dee Har Dee Har Dee Har Har..... never thought of that....... but when our twins were in the intensive care unit so many years ago there were three sets of twins and the other two were named with rhyming names..... one set being Ramey and Jamey...... I reckon we could have named ours Flip and Flop..... but then there was the dear young lady one time who actually had little education and figured the hospital had named her little girl, so she came to be known as Fe Male, pronounced feh molly.... one of our friends had the little girl as a student in school.

I was advised to charge the Nevo daily for an hour. I only had it implanted last Tuesday so it's all new to me but so far charging it each night in bed is working out well.

Charging becomes part of your routine as your integration into the Buzzer Club [although you are Buzzerless!] takes on form, use, and a sense of normalcy. We are all hoping and praying this works well for you to control your needs for pain management.... an additional tool, and possibly the primary tool in your arsenal.

I have found that if i am sitting in the recliner it takes much longer to charge because the unit heats up enough to automatically shut off due to being too warm. I usually sit at the kitchen table with a book and a cup of coffee or practice piano while I am charging. I do use the sticky patches and it seems that if I am doing something that requires a lot of movement I have difficulty charging.
