Cool Hello All

Happy to find this forum. I have had a Medtronic pain pump inside me for over 3 years now. I just had the rate increased today. I have morphine in mine, now infusing approx. 5mg per day into my lower spine. I have heard about other drugs that can be substituted so I would like to learn more about that.

I am curious as to what others have and are experiencing. It would be great to hear what rate of delivery you have, time between adjustments, rate of adjustments, etc. I feel fortunate to have this thing, as imperfect a solution that it is, it sure beats being in pain.

Had no relief from my SCS trial, which I would have preferred to have. All I got was a buzzing sensation but no reduction in pain. Oh well, it is what it is...

Laugh Hello FillerUp!

Oh JOY JOY! Welcome Aboard!
Boy are you a sight for sore eyes . Rarely does a pumper come along and we are so glad to see you. I've been trying to find folks with pain pumps to come out from hiding and share their experiences. We've had several people come and go, but it's been a long time. Thank you so much for sharing.

What type of pain are you managing with your pump?
I'm happy to hear that it's working well for you. We've heard some pretty positive feedback from others. It's just hard to find anybody who's had one long-term. 3 years is great!

I'll round up some posts from prior folks and post them to your thread and I sure hope other pain pump recipients latch on to this.

It's really great to have you! We're a fun, caring bunch here and I know others will enjoy getting to know you also!

Default Not our site but -

I'm sorry to say it's not our little band of friends here, but there is a Yahoo group called Pumpsters that I've seen a lot of posts on. You have to apply to join, but that's no big deal - they let me in and I was only looking for information. Hope this helps you -
