Default Generator placement

I am getting ready to have a cervical SCS implanted in May, I am looking to find out all the different places people have thier generators placed. I have heard of the waist area and the hip area. My doctor also told me of some other places that are available like the upper shoulder and I believe he mentioned the front of my shoulder. Was wondering if anyone else has heard of these spots or if anyone has thier generator in these spots.

Smile Hello Candy!

Welcome to the forum!

I saw your other post and am glad to hear that your trial went so well. So, now you're in the big countdown! I know how hard it can be having to wait for the permanent implant after getting such good relief from the trial.
I don't have a cervical unit, so I'm not much help. The hip/waist battery placements are usually for the lumbar. I've heard of some having the battery put in the front side near the abdomen.

There are quite a few cervical SCSers here and they will give good input.
It's great to have you here! Be sure to keep us posted!

Default As for me.......

It is in the lower right area below the waist, and upper Glute.

I have a friend, who with Trigeminal Neuralgia [face pain] has hers in the upper right chest area, and she was concerned how it would affect wearing certain clothing given how some women's attire reveals more "neck area."
