Default Stimulator and Pain Pump together?

Hi Everyone, Just a quick question, ive had my Medtronic Active Stim now since Dec 2010 and its helping somewhat with my Abdominal and Pelvic Pain but its not helping with my Lower Back Pain at all so i havent been able to cut back on any pain Meds. Has anyone had a Pain Pump fitted whilst still having their Spinal Cord Stimulator left in????

Exclamation Wow

That's a good question Melly!
I'm sorry to hear you aren't getting better pain control with the stim.

Regarding the pump, I know that several people initially had the SCS and then for whatever reason had it removed and THEN put in the pump.
Haven't run across anyone who actually has both units simultaneously, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been done.

I hope you get some good feedback on this. I'm real curious to know!

Have you talked to Dr about this? If so, what does he have to say about it. Perhaps you could call Medtronic customer services or your Rep to see if they could offer you some info on this.

Rae
