She is the BLESSING through whom we came to have a Board/sub forum as SCS and Pain Pumps. There was no sech animal here before SHE appealed to thet admins for our place...... NOW this place is all grown up and filled with precious pwople, and yes Rae is an official Greeter Welcoming Person, I think, but Admin, not for her yet anyway. She is one heck of a lot of fun and compassion packed into a precious lady. I am thrilled to number her as Friend. Oh, and then there is the fruit of the Spirit which she shares liberally here as folks need some of the Lord splashed on them.

I am just another link in this fantastic chain in which we are all knitted together. Nothing more. But geeze Mark, my head did actually begin to swell while reading your post!

It's absolutely wonderful that we have this place which brings us together from all over the globe. The accolades goes to Doc John for founding NT and for the moderators/administration team who continuously keep us running smoothly in such a caring, safe atmosphere.

I am almost 4 weeks post implant and I can't find a reachy grabby thing anywhere in my area!! So being great at improv, I use my kids. I am horrible, horrible about forgetting and stretching. Oddly enough, I have stopped getting zapped so I may be scarring in somewhat. My body already had an implant so it might not consider them foreign. I still try not to bend or lift. My rep said 4 weeks because she assured me the paddles is anchored, but I'm not taking any chances. I'm up to two to three miles a day walking. That's a huge accomplishment. I worry about work. I am a teacher lucky enough to draw a first period conference which means nonstop standing for 8 hours, save a 30 minute lunch. Sooooooo, time will tell. Excruciating arm pain is the only thing raining on my scs parade. I'm a recent implantee so I would say keeping things close by is important. I have everything in a basket next to the recliner and ice ice ice. I use ice on my back nightly. Still. Also, as mark suggested, keeping ahead of the pain is important. Course I'm weening off now, slowly. Being in a car sucks. I live in a town about 50 miles from my doctors. It's not so bad now, but hwy construction in Texas traffic is horrendous. I used pillows a lot. I also used a shower chair and needed help with that aspect the first week or so. Hope this helps. Congrats on getting the implant. I love mine more every day! My dr. Prefers st Jude, but I've heard they're all pretty close.
