Default Hello everyone....sorry it's been so long :)

I'm so sorry ive been away so long but life just kinda got in the way and days turn into weeks then months.

I can't believe I'm nearly two years (August) with my stim and it's certainly works well. Not all my pain is gone but I can get around more and do more which is great as I hate all this lying around. Did that for wayyyyy to long while waiting for my stim.

As I write I'm on holiday in the Algarve in Portugal and it is just divine to feel the sun on my body. As I come from Ireland there is little in the way of a decent Summer so this is just the tonic needed. We are here until Tuesday, just a week but lovely and relaxing.

I'm am to become a nana again in September, I have a two year old granddaughter such a joy, so great excitement ahead. Plus we are moving houseDaunting experience but exciting all the same. Just waiting on a sale agreed from the people we want to buy from, so all prayers greatly appreciated thanks

I can't believe how much the forum has grown. It's amazing to read everyone's stories. Unfortunately it's through pain that we are all here and it's that reason why the forum is growing too, but at least we can all reach out to one another in different ways and help and encourage each other too.

I hope you all have a pain free weekend and I will try to post more often and help in any way I can.

Take care everyone

Jackie

Heart Blessed Jackie

What a dear you are to come back and let us know you are well with your stim! And holiday in Portugal..... being from the long far side of the pond, we never have taken thought to seeing Portugal, but I imagine it is beautiful.

Another grandchild cometh! Wonderful! And you look to purchase a property I suppose? May it all go well!

We did have a healthy little boy grandchild, Samson, and you will see a pic at the end of this post. Gotta show them off...... right?

God be watching over you and family,
Prayin,
Mark56

Default Farewell Tootle...

I went to my doctors about my meds, which i have been increasing to help with things like holidays, visitors coming, trips out

My right shoulder is in constant spasm because of using crutches ... The dmsge as been done now, someven using mums mobility scooter won't help.

I am having physio and can now move my head to the left but ...

Because of the a amount of drugs I am on

40mg Zomorph twice daily,
60mg amTryptillime at night
20mg Tamazepam,
1000 mg paracetamol
-5ml diazepam as need.

Plus the odd few more, she says no way I should be driving

So, yesterday morning I phoned motbiliy and they are collecting him on:rd August.

I am so fed up.

You all know how I loved that little car. They stopped the insurance at midnight last night so I can't even let hubby take me for a spin.

Heart Arghhhhhh I Know, my Friend

My sports car collects dustin the driveway. I truly empathize with you dear Saffy. I feel sad for you at this time.

The time for relief and release will once again come for each of us, I pray; and I do pray.

Pain makes this short my friend.
Until next time,
Prayin,
Mark56z

Congratulations on your new little blessing on the way, Jackie! And enjoy your trip, it sounds so nice and relaxing and you need it, because moving can be stressful!

So happy to hear that your SCS is working out well for you! What great news! And congrats on your becoming a nana again. I'm sure you will have lots of fun spoiling that new little one, along with the wonderful 2 year old granddaughter!

Have fun on your holiday in Portugal. I have a friend from England who went to Algarve a few years ago on holiday, and she and her husband liked it so much that they bought some property there that includes not only a home for them, but some apartments that they rent out during the tourist season. Enjoy the sunny climate and beautiful beaches!

Hugs,
Jan

Default Last day :(

Well it's our last day today and back to wet wet wet Ireland tomorrow. Amazing how a three hour flight can have just a different climate. It's a pity my ancestors settled in Ireland and not somewhere with a warmer climate lol. Although when your not used to this heat it's exhausting too.

Unfortunately the beds here in our apartment are like boards. So I'm up most nights walking around as it's just dreadful for my back. I myself have a 'hard' bed at home but this just defies the word HARD!!!!! No matter how high I put my stim it just won't get rid of the aches and pains I have every morning when I awake. Hence I'm up so early. Hey but that's the only downside.

No problems at airport either with my stim. Plus we paid extra for extra leg room so that we could be more comfortable and I had room to lie out. So all good.

Yes moving house is a daunting prospect. We have done it once before. We are looking at a house which needs work doing to it as the construction industry here in Ireland flopped a few years ago leaving my husband out of work. So he now needs a little project to keep us both sane. So I'm asking you all to pray that a particular place which we bid on will be successful and that we can go there. It's the only place I can see that I would be happy about moving to right now. Hopefully we should know by he end of this week.

Sorry didn't mean to waffle on so much.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and that you are all doing well too

Take care

Jackie

Thumbs up Woohooooo

Well today's a great day. We have just put a deposit on our new home. We have been waiting four weeks to see if our bid would be accepted and finally it has. So it's all systems go!!!! Our house is sale agreed also so all going well we should be moving in about six weeks or so. Prayers are very welcome please

We arrived home safely from Portugal and had a great holiday. Amazing how relaxing the heat of the sun on your skin can be especially on my back. We dont get the heat here much in Ireland, not like you would in the States, so holidaying certainly does give you a feel good factor when you go abroad. So refreshing.

I hope to meet with my Consultant soon for a review. Just a chat really. Don't have any concerns thankfully. My stim is doing its bit and I'm very pleased with its progress. I'm still taking some meds but have definitely cut down on them. I also use my patches most days. I'm hoping my back will hold up to our move. I will have to curtail how much decluttering and packing that I can/should/will do!!!!. It's hard to sit still but I'm getting so excited now.

When the purchaser saw our house she loved it but when they offered to buy it she wanted ALL my plants in the back garden, even my hanging baskets lol!!!! I was so proud. I've come a long way from literally lying in my garden not being able to do anything to having my garden complimented in such a lovely way. Life can be so hard and yet it can reward us in so many ways too

Take care my good friends.

Jackie
